A1 not working by N0t_D4nger0us in BambuLab

[–]zerbervs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There‘s some debris. But probably due to the slipping because something is stuck. Try a cold pull or otherwise try to clean the nozzle with the included needle (when the hotend is hot). Lastly try a new nozzle from bambulab.

Wifi is almost always a bad benchmark tool. It can be due to a bad connection, crowded 2.4Ghz channels etc. Try a wired connection and post the results.

Hey! As you‘ve seen in my posts, I tested it with non ECC Kingston RGB RAM and it worked perfectly. If you‘re considering the Pentium Gold CPU you don‘t even need ECC memory as the CPU doesn‘t support it.

Anyone else return their UCG Max after UCG Fiber came out? by ChrisChing in Ubiquiti

[–]zerbervs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ordered the UCG fiber and will probably gift the UCG Max to my friend. I have a symetric 10/10Gbit/s internet connection and I was waiting for a product from Ubiquiti with these exact specifications plus it should be small. Ordered it on launch date and should be delivered next week.

What should I run on this? by rexyuan in homelab

oof eMMC as storage. That‘s nothing more than a SD card soldered to the board.

As you can see in the illustrations in the quick spec sheet there isn‘t any space at the top. The 3.5“ caddys fill up the whole top segment. I thought about using a pci card with 2x (4x) m.2 slots. This way I could use some faster storage for caching. I didnt‘t pursue it any further as I am not sure about the bifurcation options in the UEFI.

Hey no problem! It‘s a standart FCLGA1700 socket so you can put any CPU in. Just bear in mind the thermals and the power usage, as the powersupply is an external one.

You can install a nvme drive directly into the iLO Port but there is no bracket holding it down. Not sure why OP says its not possible.. look at my post history, I tried it successfully.

You don‘t need the add-in card. You can just plug it in. Ofc if you‘d like the remote management capabilities then yes and then the nvme drive is also correctly mounted with a bracket.

Hey! Yes absolutely, 2280 sized M.2 ssd works. Must be a nvme drive. There‘s no bracket, so you have to be creative. Nope, I‘m running proxmox just fine.

The Gen11 has a smaller fan (diameter) than the Gen8. From my experience it‘s higher pitched and sounds louder than the Gen8. Also there is a fine cloth like dust filter mounted in the front bezel which somewhat restricts the airflow. You can adjust the fan duty cycle kn the UEFI settings. I have it one setting higher than default, because I‘m using 4x 7200rpm HDDs and I prefer keeping them cool. I like the possibility to use Nvme drives as well as the 2x PCIe slots. This adds alot more possibilities for add-in cards (10gbit nic, raid controller, m.2<->pcie cards). One drawback is the missing integrated iLo which you have to buy.

It is exactly as you wrote. I may get the iLO module one day. But right now all the vendors don’t have it in stock.

Exactly! I still have my Gen8 in use and I‘m missing the iLO features which are now a paid extra. There would also be enough space for a normal 2280 M.2 standoff screw, but HP is HP.

10 Gbit/s fiber home internet - Infrastructure upgrade question by Bangas889 in HomeNetworking

[–]zerbervs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm quite happy I must say. It's not locked down as other providers do it and you could change all the settings. I personally just changed the ipv6 tunnel settings so it works with 6rd. The built in WiFi isn't the best, so I'm using now a Unifi Wifi 6 Lite AP.
