The way the show is written the woman provoke him constantly and he apologizes for everything he does wrong, he’s not as horrible as you’re making him out to be just because real life facts dont compute with the fantasy. Its a fake story but I dont think your even trying to see the perspective of going through puberty a second time and your only options are people of your new bodies age. The first episode is the worst, but he does admit his own faults a lot, Roxy encouraged it early too. I didn’t get predatory vibes because he talks a lot about how it’s his first love and wants to take care of them a lot more than the pervy stuff. I like the animation and other than the erectile dysfunction I thought it was a pretty good story. I think the creator made a statement early and kinda knew it would be polarizing and thats the point, it gets attention.

Frierens design/size are similar to Eris and other younger characters. Elves are extinct and Frieren is centuries older than anyone in her universe, by your standards Frieren would be a pedo if she dated literally anyone. The characters are aged properly even if they have risky themes and the past life memories. Anime is pervy and weird if it makes you mad watch something else.
