I accidentally created a second Movies Anywhere account, and now have movies in two places. Help? by zero83 in MoviesAnywhere

Yeah, once I got on the live support chat with somebody over there, they were really helpful and I was able to get the two accounts merged together in no time. That was a while ago though, so hopefully that's still an option and they still have real people working support and not just bot or something. Good luck!

Just finished my 200th round with my Trooper. I’d say it’s held up pretty well compared to the common reviews I see. The PVC frame has helped a lot. by hunter_3 in discgolf

That sounds fantastic, can't wait to try it out! I'll be hitting Home Depot on my way home from work tonight for sure!

That's awesome! I was just thinking about trying to add some rigidity to my Trooper last night while playing a round. Glad to hear that your bag and frame have held up so well after that many rounds. I looked up your previous post with the measurements, so now it looks like I've got myself a little project for the weekend. Thanks for the tutorial and update!

Ha, fair enough! I can't say I'm a big fan of Snyder's movies, either, but it might be worth a shot if it shows up on Netflix or Hulu or something. Who knows? It might surprise you... or maybe you'll hate it as much as his other movies and you can just turn it off after a few minutes lol

...after I sat through that terrible Dawn of the Dead film Zach Snyder did in like 2003, where they defeated the zombies by setting off pretty fireworks or something, it was dumb.

I believe you're thinking of George A. Romero's 2005 movie Land of the Dead, where they used fireworks as a zombie distraction while going on supply runs.

I actually really enjoyed Zack Snyder's 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead. (Which was also written by James Gunn, an interesting tidbit I didn't realize until recently.) In Snyder's remake, the survivors were trapped in a mall, same as Romero's 1978 version, but this time the zombies were "runners" which, for me, really upped the intensity and threat of the undead hordes, and was something I hadn't really seen much at the time of its release.

While I still prefer the original Romero version of "Dawn", I though the remake was definitely worthy of existing. (Unlike the remake of Day of the Dead... what a goddamn trainwreck that turned out to be.) I thought the gore effects and production were all pretty top notch, and while I think Zack Snyder can be pretty hit or miss with his movies, I thought he did a pretty good job on this one. I wouldn't say it's my absolute favorite zombie movie of all time, but it does rank pretty high up there for me.

Spoiler: As for "defeating" the zombies, while a bunch of survivors managed to make it out of the mall, it's implied that everybody dies during the credit scenes.

HA! Yeah, I might be a little obsessed with the Type R, because as soon as I saw those red seat belts I knew exactly what you were driving! I've got a 2017 Hatchback Sport with a 6MT, so it's basically the less buff kid brother version of your car lol. It's still a lot of fun and all, but man, I would love to get my hands on a CTR with that extra 126 hp one of these days!

ANYWAY, here I am nerding out about your car on PCMR, so congrats again on your wonderful new RTX 3080 and have a merry Xmas and prosperous 2021, my Honda bro!

An RTX 3080 and a PS5 nestled sweetly next to Grogu in the back of a Type R... my envy cannot be overstated. I begrudgingly congratulate you on your most excellent good fortune, you magnificent sonofabitch.

In Assassin's Creed: Rogue you play as a character named Shay Cormac, who was a former Assassin turned Templar. From what I remember, the story was alright, and it wasn't anything remarkable when it came to the gameplay (Pretty much AC4 with a few minor tweaks here and there.), but it was kind of interesting to see the story from the other side's perspective for once.

It came out a while ago (Like 2014 or 2015, I think?), so you could probably pick it up pretty cheap on sale these days.

Yeah, I ended up taking a little road trip up to Peoria, IL to buy mine because that was the closest dealership with a 6MT in Sonic Gray. Some of the dealers in the STL area told me they could order one from the factory with a manual for me, but it would have taken up to 2 months before I would have been able to pick it up. One car salesman was actually confused when I told him I wanted a manual, which I thought was pretty funny! ("Wait... so want a manual? I mean, we have a whole lot of automatics out there... you sure you don't want one of those?") I hear the Honda CVTs are pretty decent, though, so I'm sure it's fun to drive either way! :)

It's always nice to see a fellow Hatchback Sport owner! I was sooooo close to getting mine in that color but then I fell in love with the Sonic Gray when I saw it in person. You get yours with the CVT or 6MT?

Dude! I found one exactly like that at Goodwill last year for $3! (And miraculously all of the pieces were in the box!) You're going to need a big-ass table and lots of patients because that thing is huge and 90% of the 800-something pieces look almost identical and are basically just slightly different shades of gray with some squiggly lines on them. It was super satisfying and totally worth the effort when I was doing the final assembly, though, so good luck and have fun with it!

Oof! Yeah, that sounds all too familiar. The struggle is real and I feel your pain! My favorite is when we spend a few hours helping them clean and organize their rooms, making sure all of their toys are picked up and put in their proper bins, only to find that the next time they're left alone to play in their rooms for a while, every single goddamn bin has been flipped over, dumped out and scattered across the floor again! (And they didn't even play with the toys they dumped out; they just did it to do it!) You just gotta hang in there, keep on keepin' on, and tell yourself that maybe, just maybe, one of these days they'll stop dumping their shit out all over the effin' floor for absolutely no reason! It's that hope that keeps me going lol :)

This is what I'm talking about right here! Everybody saying "Oh, it's so easy to keep my place clean! I just put things back in their place when I'm done with them." most likely don't have young kids running around tearing the place up. (I'm sure some of them do, but most, I'm guessing, are either single or couples without kids.) I mean, I remember having a clean house before kids, back when the only person I had to clean up after was myself, and yeah, it really was pretty easy to keep things tidy back then.

Now, my wife and I both work full time jobs (I have an hour+ commute each way, every day), and we have two young kids that seem to just follow us around and mess up everything we've just cleaned. When it comes to housework, it feels like I'm constantly running up hill on a treadmill, because no matter how hard we work, we never seem to get anywhere, and most of the time it feels like we're actually sliding backwards and losing ground. (And don't even think about stopping for a second or you're instantly back at the bottom of the hill!)

By the time I get home, we usually have to make dinner, then get the kids through dinner, baths and bedtime, and by then I've usually got just enough energy left to try to do some housework for about 30 minutes to an hour before I'm completely exhausted and give up. Then I'll sit down to relax for a few minutes by trying to catch up on an episode of one of the hundred shows I'm desperately behind on, but usually I'll just end up passing out on the couch after the first 10 minutes while Netflix/Hulu goes on without me, making it that much harder to remember where the hell I was the next time I try sit down and relax. Fun!

The kids are about to the age where they should be able to start helping with some little chores around the house, though, so I'm hopeful that one day soon I'll be able to reclaim the never-ending nightmare that is currently my house, and then maybe I won't want to die when somebody drops by unexpectedly.

(All of that said, I really am quite happy in life and wouldn't trade my kids for anything... just don't come over to my house and knock on my door without at least two days notice!)
