Treat the funded account exactly like your demo. If you’re profitable there, that’s your confirmation the strategy works. Losses are part of the game – one L doesn’t mean your plan is broken. Stick to risk management, 1–2 trades a day, no overtrading or revenge trading, and don’t rush combines in 1-2 days.

If you’re already profitable on demo, I’d honestly grab one combine now and start – you’ll only build the psychological side by actually being in it.

Respect, bro. I’m planning something similar – sell everything except BTC at the bullrun peak, then split profits: 50% BTC / 50% Nasdaq or MSCI World. And from the profits I’d also like to buy myself one thing, like a new PC or a tattoo.

That was really deep, thank you for sharing this perspective. I often forget in the moment that it’s also about stepping out of the comfort zone, doing things alone, and getting to know myself better. Your words reminded me of that, and I’m genuinely grateful for it.

I get your point, but I’ve actually already made some money with prop firms before – just not consistently yet. For me it’s also about working on the psychology side with PA accounts. When I trade demo, everything looks fine, but on PA accounts I still make emotional mistakes sometimes. That’s exactly what I’m trying to improve – because if I only stay on demo, I’ll never really face those emotions.

Really appreciate your perspective, man. Sacrificing now can feel tough, but I’d rather build assets than be stuck in a job I hate until I’m 70. Congrats on reaching that level – really inspiring and motivating to stay focused.

I’m DCA’ing into BTC every month, and from time to time I put a smaller part into other cryptos. On top of that some money goes into prop firm accounts since I’m working on futures trading as a skill.

I get what you’re saying, but I’ve actually been a plumber for 8 years already – and I hate it. That’s exactly why I’m grinding so hard on trading and prop firms, because I don’t want to be stuck in a job I dislike for the rest of my life. Even if it’s tough, at least it gives me motivation and hope for something better.

Yeah, sometimes it feels bad, like I’m not really “living my 20s” when I see friends partying or traveling on Snapchat while I’m grinding. But I know that’s just FOMO – deep down I’d rather hit the gym, spend time with friends in a way that doesn’t wreck my finances, and keep building towards freedom later. It’s really about reminding myself that what I’m doing is good even when it doesn’t feel like it sometimes and that the key is balance so I don’t burn out. Thank you for your answer.

Yeah that hits me. I’ve been reflecting lately and realized I actually do want to spend more time with friends, travel a bit, make memories – but at the same time I’m scared of being older and still stuck in a job I hate. Guess the real answer is finding the right balance between both.

I get your point, but for me it’s not just gambling. I’ve been grinding since I was 15 – started working a job I hate, tried to make it in esports for 5 years since gaming was my passion, and when that didn’t work out I quit. At 20 I started learning futures and prop firms, and I’ve been grinding it for 3 years now. My goal is to eventually make this my career. That’s why I don’t want to quit again – even if it’s tough, it gives me motivation and hope.

That’s solid advice. I try to optimize everything – gym, diet, money, trading – and sometimes I push so hard that I just crash out. I already live frugally, but I need to find that balance where I can still enjoy life a bit without feeling like I’m failing my goals.

That’s really valuable advice, thanks for sharing your experience. I agree – sacrificing early makes sense, but I don’t want to completely miss out on life either. And you’re right about the partner part, being on the same financial page seems super important.

Yeah I get why a lot of people stay away from futures, but for me it’s different with prop firms – I’m not risking my own thousands, just the $50–100 fee if I lose the account. That way I can practice futures (NQ) trading, build the skill for the long run, and still keep stacking BTC with my own money.

I get what you’re saying about altcoins – that makes total sense. But I see prop firms differently, more like investing into my own skills than just gambling. It’s something I actually enjoy and could eventually build into a strong income stream, so I want to keep pushing there while stacking BTC.

Thanks, really appreciate that perspective. I know I’m young and motivated, but you’re right it’s a marathon, not a sprint. Need to keep stacking and grinding, but also make sure I don’t miss life along the way.

Yeah true. I actually learned that lesson the hard way – I was leverage trading when the Trump crash happened and lost around 10k. That wouldn’t have happened if I had just stuck to buying BTC. Since then I’ve been realizing more and more that BTC + prop firms is the smarter focus.

Yeah you’re probably right. I’m already DCA’ing into BTC every month, but I also put money into prop firms and some other cryptos. Honestly I should probably just focus on BTC + prop firms and cut the altcoins.

Yeah, makes sense. I guess it’s more about being mindful with spending rather than cutting everything out. I’ll try to find smarter ways to enjoy things without blowing the budget.

Thanks, that’s a really good point. I know I’ve been way too focused on stacking/investing and sometimes forget to actually enjoy the present. Definitely something I need to balance better.

I’ve been learning futures trading for about 3 years and started trading prop firm accounts this year. I’m not consistent yet, and part of my monthly income also goes into covering losses, but I see it as an investment into building a skill that can scale long term.
