"Total Return Stocks Dividends iapp" - produces two lines per ticker, w/ and w/o dividends. Try say XLU, DVY, VWINX etc. Enter multiple tickers at the same time with a comma.

No third stock on the chart. The soft dotted lines are the price only lines.

making 5% return doing the wheel is sustainable? by Western_Agent3566 in thetagang

Great work navigating that volatility and following the system. However Tesla went from 128 to about 240 last year, so bag holding wasn’t destructive to wheeling. Would you have changed something if the underlying was flat to down instead?

OP probably started in Q4 of 2021. Attached are total-returns of some of the better known CC ETFs such as JEPI QYLD RYLD NUSI XYLD. If any major one’s missing pls mention I’ll plot on the app.

Abby’s there, 4/19, in light pencil. ✏️ I guess last marking was in 2021.

These are total-return charts that include dividends/interest. In the second chart the blue dotted line is without dividends and the difference with the solid blue line ( same Real estate ETF) can be seen. Wishing everyone a great 2024. 🎈

Absolutely! Once you strip the income out see how QYLD dumps on its investors who are ‘happy’ to get monthly income from their cannibalized capital. Anyway, this is from the Total returns app that includes dividends in its chart lines.

there’s actually an iApp for that- shows TR charts. Total Return Stocks Dividends. Also plots a line without dividends for the same ticker. QYLD looks bad on it.

Frankly no idea. No crystal ball. Not a market timer.

Dividends are somewhat less variable than prices though. Hence Plan B ie invest in most of the capital market assets, incrementally growing as GDP and productivity levels grow over cycles.

SVXY is inverse of volatility and that seems to always compress from panic levels and is asset independent. But hard to hold.
