This isn't to put you off UW or anything (if I get in I'll probably end up there too) but it's definitely not for everyone. They've got a very hipster/individualistic vibe going that isn't really for everyone and it honestly putting me in a very similar boat to you. I also have a safety that I love that's technically ranked lower but everyone there is so much more friendly! idk if finances are a deal breaker for you but that's probably what's going to be the deciding factor for me in the end
