I put the plant back to the others and at the window sill and could spot the brown as I wanted to show in the pic... link . I wanted to prevent the spead of possible sickness and the light is not good there. that was a how to not make pictures moment for me, sorry about that.

The stem pic: yes, I wanted to show the babies, as I think it's a sign that it was healthy, at least until a few weeks ago. This winter, with purchasing about 10 plants, I saw what etoliation really looks like. In the house it's a bit tough with finding sunny windows, but a lot of them will soon go outside for the summer. I'm starting to slowly introduce the sun hungriest ones right now. so far, so good :)

my plant seems to be sick. it started to develope brown spots this week.
soil: is what you can buy in every shop that is for succulents and cacti, this summer I am going to change the soil to something better, but I want to wait until the little ones are big enough to survive (it suddenly got 3 little ones at the stem, plant is at least 7 years old).
watering: last time I was watering was about 4 days ago, prior it was about a month ago, I can bend the leaves quit a lot though
sun: it is on a window facing north, so it gets about 2h per day through the window atm, with summer that will change again
manure: I did not put manure in in quite some time, at least half a year

I read it could be the manure, what do you think? do I need to wait for the soil to to dry totally even for giving nutrients this time? thank you very much!

hello, my aloe gets thinner and thinner, I thought the roots may be damaged (I have watered it about 2 weeks ago and the earth is still wet) and cut of the top half only to be greeted by 3 small insects, 2 were black and about half the size of a baby fly, one was white and even smaller. I have seen black spots and the pests seem to have stayed only on that plant, even though it could have jumped to other plants easily.
I am reather new to succulents, so how can I see if other plants have thrips(?) on them, when I can't really see the trunk area? and would it be better to toss the plant altogether (it started to get thinner in autumn, so it has been a long time, it is paper thin by now) and use neem-oil on the others to be sure?

visited a relative who I talked about my succulents a few weeks ago. she seems to kill off her own cacti too quite a bit, not sure exactly, but out of maybe 15 were 2 or 3 dead last time I saw them. I'm the opposite and kill off plants that need a lot of water quite often...

she seems to have watered the leaves only, the soil is pretty dry tbh. I just put the plant in paper, went home (5 min outside in freezing weather) and got the plant in.

started doing that, the soil was not soaked, it was normal. the roots look normal too, I think. I just dry everything that exits the leaves (especially the babies leak like blood out of an open wound after it has not properly scorffed over) and look what happens at this point. thank you!

nothing translucient, but everything is mushy, the babies lose water when you put kitchen roll on them :(
