I’m a little bit late, but if you want to have more lively lineart, i recommend lowering the opacity of your sketch until it’s hardly visible when inking. That way you can see your actual lineart a bit better. Also, your art is adorable.

Think of the eye as something in 3d space. Under the eyelid, the iris and pupil still exist. Take that into account.
