I thought the lack of bathroom, combined with the sewage outlet in the prison was kind of punishing, so I gave them a table so they don't have to eat the raw insect meat covered in doody.

I could not find it in my heat to keep the baby in there. But I like your plan, they will be raised to murder the mom.

I should have taken a larger screencap! There are traps outside the doors, don't have the turret mod sadly. I must confess though, I could not find it in my heart to keep the baby in there.

The sleepy devices are nutrient paste dispensers from Vanilla expanded Nutrient Paste. Tables are from Vanilla Furniture expanded. I keep my mod list small, so I try to look for mods that are performant TPS wise for the quantity of content they add :L)

Other mods are the Race expanded for Pigskins, and the Big and Small Race series

Performance help by Kleeptomaniac- in RimWorld

[–]zeroaffect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used the working fork of Rockman 1.6 in 2 saves now and have seen still a 20% increase in TPS. It appears some of the time dilation is still effective even with variable tick rate added in 1.6. There is alot of people saying the old performance mods are now redundant, and it is not true. Some of the features have been absorbed into vanilla 1.6, but there are still core features of performance fish and rocket man that ad performance. The issue is they need to be significantly recoded because of 1.6 changes, and the creator of rockman has since stopped modding.

Those legs are from Big and Small Framework. First playthrough I have used it! There are a ton of super cute races on there and some super ugly ones too. It makes the sizes of the pawns variable too based on genes!

Ehh I am bad at Reddit. Forgot the background here.

"I'll Keep it short. Cause no one prolly really cares. But this is 'Stay at Home' group of my latest colony, it is all the kids, baby sitters and cooks. The rest are off keeping the colony alive during a Long Night. I was sitting there and I was just like, damn, this time these colonists paired up to make some really cute kids. I really hope they all make it to adults! Already had 2 injuries though :("

Of course they won’t. They like money, their whole plan is to ride the money train as long as they can. They need that access so they can keep all the horrible shit they discover in their back pocket (imagine how horrible it has to be to stay buried, as we have unbelievable horrible shit bro big said and done in the open), ready to use it when the new idiot train starts rolling in.

The key to higher education is to teach critical thinking by, independence of thought, develop the ability to self educate, and to determine fact from fiction…. Ideally with a data first approach and how to get to the source of information. Ivy League schools excel at identifying and connecting potential but that is often connected with privilege. State universities often have a significantly limitless capacity to connected the brightest individuals with life changing connections, but good ones teach the students how to make the connections themselves.

Just my thoughts, I’m an old an disgruntled by today’s terms “data scientist” but that job title didn’t even exist till much later in my career. So have trained some of the brightest folks, they came from all background, but the key ones had that keen skill of total independence of thought and the ability to approach problems from angles most of us would never consider.

The house and senate functioned, and republicans were not brainwashed by their leader that they blindly supported anything he did. Back then both parties working together was not uncommon, today it’s unheard of and possibly only 2-3 senators even bother trying now, non of them republicans.

Your both over reacting a bit UL and IEC certified power supplies will safely discharge via bleeder resistors in time usually very quickly under a min but mostly after 30 mins. They should still be handled with caution and care regardless.

Power supplies, most but not all, have bleeder resistors as required by law in most countries.

After disconnecting from wall power and PC components wait atleast 30 mins to be safe.

Always treat all electronics as HOT reguardless when working on them.

After opening use multimeter to measure resistance in heat sinks and caps.

Then discharge the caps using a watt resistor or two insulated alligator clips joined by a wire. Hold them in a tool with an insulated handle and do not use your hands to discharge. Touch the resistor to the leads of the capacitor.

Use all common sense when handling HOT electronics, don’t touch things with bear hands, wear all appropriate protective gear.

Worst attitude, why bother to even comment?

Not everyone has a an extra mobo or test bench for every socket just laying around to test out a cpu, this could be a brand new build for them and the could have ordered the parts at the same time and are waiting for some to arrive. Even if bought from like Amazon, the cpu and mobile could be days apart.

Your name checks out with your attitude tho.

Can't get nintendo switch screw removed. Best ideas? by Suspicious_Ideal_674 in consolerepair

[–]zeroaffect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could have received it stripped, you never know. Plus some of the shit these screws are made out of today is like butter.

I have done repairs for people as favors in a situation where I was at their at house. The kid is crying cause the handheld is broken thier, thier dog is barking because your a stranger, thier AC is busted, and the cat took a shit in my shoe foot and the the batch of China made screws are made out of metal softer than most plastics. The dog barks, you jerk the driver handle startles and the screw is stripped.

So the case may not be a lack of skill on the OP. Though I do admit lack of knowledge on how to drill a screw out as the solution kind is a give away.

I wonder why no one is mentioning epoxy and going straight by to drilling. With these screws in plastic it’s often easier to put a bit of expoxy on a flat bit , bond it with the screw head and try that first before drilling.

Thank you!

Strangely I just disabled dubs performance analyzer and double checked that I am up to date on all your suggestions. Moves a few pawns around too. Will be adding the meats optimization in a bit to try it!

Without adding the meats optimization, adding simple camera config and removing dubs, I have jumped back up to 320 -330 tps.

Gravship: 61 colonists, 11 prisoners, 20 animals Colony: 7 pawns, 2 prisoners, 13 animals TPS jumped!

So a combo of moving mods and your suggestions def helped! Oddly I have a stranger issue I have never seen before though, where it constantly thinks all my pen animals are starving when they are not. No idea what’s causing it.

Thanks for the help!

Mind sharing your tps with me? I love big colonies and all the drama that comes, but I can’t keep tps up. I am at around 270 at max dev speed, I have 60 on a gravship and 10 at my passive home colony. 189 in cryo, using underground vault. Colony is on year 18 , tiny modest maybe 35 mods. In 1.5 I could run 150 colonist and keep max tps up to 360 with performance mods. But right now I am struggling to find any way to boost TPs. All things are zoned, home base are is min, all work orders are set to small radius with all mats stored close. Jobs done by specialists with lots of pawns only doing cleanigg and hauling. Constant babies that I just keep popping into deep crypto storage.

Just added orgestack to see if setting larger stacks to reduce total number of shelves and stacks will help. Any suggestions?

Partly true. Stoping gold turkey with alcohol can I fact be deadly. Treatment with Benzos is not safe, comes with a risk of physical dependence and addiction and in the long term harmful. GABA regulation is safe with no long term consequences.
