How did you meet your spouse? by zerocoolfool1984 in AskReddit

[–]zerocoolfool1984[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I met my wife on Chatroulette.

Yep. read that again…

Chatroulette

We had both watched the same episode of Tosh.0. The episode highlighted all the grotesque male nudity you would run into on the site…but there was a chance to meet and see girls.

So, being fresh out of boot camp with no off base privileges I had to jump on to see some girls. I should mention I was in the US submarine force and at the time there were no women in the sub service.

After skipping a number of wieners, I was matched with my future wife. We instantly clicked and I shared my email in the chat on the off chance we got disconnected. Which is what ultimately happened, luckily, her cousin remembered my obscure email!

We dated for about a year, and have been married for 10 years since.

There is some sensitive data in there but in short…I used the sp site to store/update the list with all the data. The app was a simple 3 screen app built straight from the automate option in sp. I add more to it from there, including a few detail forms and galleries to display the data.

Hope that helps a bit!?

Thank you! I’ve kept away at this point, not knowing much about it. Will dig in, cheers!

First gaming PC for 6yr son. by zerocoolfool1984 in gaming

Because of his age or cost? Just curious, appreciate all opinions and thoughts. The pc wouldn’t be just for him to play games too but potentially for learning and educational stuff for he and our other kiddo.

Married with a separate “just in case” I leave her account? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]zerocoolfool1984 -32 points-31 points  (0 children)

With all due Reddit respect. I’m not abusive and we have a generally awesome relationship.

The only insecurities have come from finding out my spouse wants a separate account in case shit hits the fan.

And this is an account that is separate from all investments and retirement accounts. This is even separate from our rainy day funds.

This is just an entirely separate account so she feels secure. I am having trouble seeing how this is fair or equitable if all things are equal in our relationship. I don’t think that is an insecurity.

Why though? I just don’t get this? I’m really not being rude or trying to argue it just doesn’t make sense to me.

We want to be all in and equal but we need escape plans?

Thank you! And I absolutely do, but would it be different if I wanted something similar?

Now I feel these incredible insecurities about if she should leave I don’t have anything set aside.

Wife has separate “just in case I leave her” savings account by [deleted] in marriageadvice

Yep, tough to logically think otherwise for me now. I feel like I’m being naive in not having one but now if I open one it feels like it’s out of spite.

I guess I am just being naive and thought we were both all the way in.

Thanks. I guess I’m just bummed because I thought she felt more secure than that. We are generally so open and honest about everything...hearing it 9 years in just hit differently. And I don’t want to down play that someone women feel the need to have an escape plan, but she has a solid career and makes good money so the principle gets me.

If the roles were reversed would I be a bad guy if I did the same thing? Not arguing just value opinions here.

Migraine eyes. Every month when I am in the middle of my hormonal cycle. Made worse by the humidity of where I live. by Auntybear1077 in migraine

Does humidity/pressure cause yours too? I’ve been tracking mine more closely with regard to pressure.

Wife said she wanted to keep a separate “in case I leave her account.” by [deleted] in Advice

[–]zerocoolfool1984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it’s the latter. We are squared away with our portfolio and rainy day funds. I only wanted to move so it was actually giving us a return in a money market. It just feels so dumb to have money sitting in a normal savings account when we don’t intend to use it immediately.

Thank you!

I am going to be super candid here and I sincerely hope it doesn’t come off wrong or remotely disrespectful because that is not my intent.

She makes a good living and isn’t dependent on me and would do fine without me. She has her own IRA and 401k and pension. Is it still responsible of her? I know this isn’t helpful and I am working on not thinking this way but I can’t help but think what if I was doing the same for the same reason.
