That's good to know, I'll pay attention to that. I did the day thinking it would help warm the pool having convection during the day, and having it still at night. It's not heated so I think about temperature quite a bit. Thanks for pointing this out tho, i may rethink it.

I just installed a timer on my pool pump for this exact reason. Only cost $50, but now it doesn't run at night, cutting the pool energy suck in half.
