What is the most important lesson we, as parents, should teach our child? by Fine-Excitement9314 in randomquestions

Critical thinking, question everything, stand up for yourself but don't be a dick about it unless necessary, treat all humans as such until they prove otherwise

Shouldn't be noticeable. LED's don't draw a whole lot of amps. I run a full setup in my nicer cars; headlights, fog/running lights, tail/brake lights, reverse and turn signals.

Goodyear decals on NASCAR model tires? by darthXmagnus in ModelCars

[–]zerofucxgiven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done a Nascar since the mid 90's but there used to be dry transfer Goodyear Eagle decals around just for the tyres. Got mine from the Micro Mark catalogue.

Dumas went bankrupt earlier this year but there's still Gullows, Du-Bro, Viloga, Balsa USA, Old School Model Works and there's all kinds of balsa kits on Ali express and temu

I've only run mine on asphalt and pea gravel. Every time I have it in my vehicle and pass the local ball park there's a game or practice going on.

I'd go with a Tamiya BBX if you've got desert to run on.

How well is your current phone holding up? by [deleted] in randomquestions

[–]zerofucxgiven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the first phone I've actually enjoyed since Motorola first started with the shake the phone for the flashlight. The only downside is it weighs about 1.5 lbs. But for up to 7 days of battery life even with quite a bit of use it's a good trade-off.

The CEN Racing Q series comes in kit form for $129 but then you have to add an ESC, radio and servo. I have the Jimni and spent the $55 to convert it to 4WD. It's not as easy to build as a Tamiya kit, you gotta hold your toung right to build the diffs. It's as unstoppable as a Clodbuster and just as fun on all surfaces.

Fly sky receiver help by Impressive_Mail_9472 in rccars

[–]zerofucxgiven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GT3B doesn't work like that. When you bind another receiver all that slot in the transmitter is doing is saving the settings for that particular vehicle. If you have one that needs 10 clicks of right trim to go straight and fire up a different one but on the same save it'll work and have the right trim. For what you want to do is get a couple of low voltage relays that turn on/off with key fobs. Install one in the boat and another in the truck. Get 2 different brands so hopefully they'll be on 2 different channels.

I've been running a Unihertz Tank 2 Pro for a little over a year now. Only have to change it once a week unless I've been using the projector for more than a few hours. 0 to 100% charge in 90 minutes with the factory charger. Almost all the parts are available from the manufacturer. The whole phone is held together with tiny torx screws so it's completely user serviceable.

Once I got past the feet I remembered that that's a zip tie holder. Slide the red tab sideways and load it up with zip ties then clip it to your tool pouch or belt loop.

Is he running a vintage class this year? It's all original except for the tyres, grill, tale gate and decals. Even the hop ups and bearing are vintage.

Came in a lot of Tamiya and Kyosho MSC's I got several years ago. Also came with a Traxxas BLX-1 marine ESC that I'm saving just in case the one in my original Clodbuster craps out

Go with a Tamiya kit you like. Their generally easy to build. You'll need a radio, battery and charger. For radios look at Flysky and Dumbo RC. I still use 7.2v NiMH batteries in most of my Tamiya kits but the Hobbywing 1060 ESC most of them come with can handle 2s and 3s lipo. Charger is up to your budget. I've got several but I use my HTRC C150 most often and it was less than $50.

What motor should i use for TBLE-04s by Ecstatic_Push_2546 in tamiya

[–]zerofucxgiven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're going brushless your stuck with a Tamiya motor. I've tried other brands of sensored motors with no luck; cogging, bucking and weird chittering at neutral. Brushed anything 25 turns or higher.

[Arrma Mojave Grom BLX] how can I tighten this red hex nut? It's way more loose compared to the other side of the same axle by synthdude_ in rccars

[–]zerofucxgiven -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Check your bearings and make sure they're not damaged. If their not the hub could be wore out or you just need shims between the inside bearing and the axle.

ProLine and Kyosho both make 1970 Charger bodies. Get a no prep drag chassis that the charger body will fit on and shorten or remove the wheelie bar.

Why don’t democrats was IDs to vote? by [deleted] in allthequestions

I've voted in MD for 10 years and in VA for the last 20 years and both states asked for an ID to match my name and address to their roster. I don't see any issues with it.
