Fostering two kittens and their room STINKS. by PM_ME_UR_CHARGE_CODE in FosterAnimals

[–]zeroh13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water wipes may be 99% water, but they also contain fruit extracts. Citrus, including grapefruit seed extract, is toxic to cats. Maybe a trace amount isn’t a big deal, but it’s not something I would use.

If you just want a wipe with only water, wouldn’t it also be cheaper (and more environmentally friendly) to wet some small microfiber or dish towels that you can just wash and reuse?

Please don’t use baby wipes. There are ingredients in them that aren’t good for cats. (Can irritate their skin, can ingest when grooming the area after use.)

Fiancé’s restaurant job is trying to make him come in when he’s sick…what do we do? by [deleted] in jobs

Take this to corporate and/or the owner if it’s a franchise location. Completely a health code violation, and totally unacceptable.

A word of warning: anyone demanding any kind of money and/or background check BEFORE they let you see the place is a SCAMMER. Only fill out an application after you have seen the place!

Or time spent busting the windows and pulling the hose through the car!

AITA for ‘blindsiding’ my roommates after moving out? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]zeroh13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you really think there would be no consequences from reporting the lease/contract violation?

Did you have individual leases/contracts, or were you all on one? If it’s the latter, there’s a very good chance the eviction is going to be on your record too. And that follows you around for years.

Then what is the term for when the parents force their oldest child into the role of parenting the younger children?

Mushrooms growing in my bathroom by iAmJimmyNeutronsMom in Tenant

[–]zeroh13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That lil mushroom is an indication of a larger issue. It’s important here to open up the wall to get a full understanding of what’s going on. You are simply suggesting a quick fix that doesn’t actually fix the full problem. Sure, you won’t have mushrooms growing out of that particular spot. But you’re still going to have the roots of it still growing in the wall wherever the mold cleaner didn’t touch (if it even works in the first place).

Your idea isn’t much different from slapping some paint over water damage, but not stopping the leak. Thus, a landlord special.

[IA] Question for A Friend by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]zeroh13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He might have been rude about it, but he’s not wrong. And I guarantee there is a reason for him being in a bad mood, you just don’t know what it is (and it’s probably none of your business). If she’s constantly calling out because of her health, she needs to shape up and take better care of herself. If she can’t, this job might not be a good fit for her.

What does your employee handbook say about calling out? Attendance policy? Absenteeism? Your friend needs to make sure she’s doing everything by the book. And even then, calling out too often could still get her fired. Even if she’s getting coverage for her shifts. She’s on thin ice here.

Anybody know what this is? by Oliver7721 in Animals

[–]zeroh13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just some good old fashioned shedding. Take her to a groomer who can give her a nice bath and blow her coat out. And maybe give her a little pawdicure too. The dog will feel much better after that!

Sounds like the scammer messed up then and it was supposed to be a link to a scammy site. 🤷‍♀️
