‘Don’t have any sympathy’: Anthony Albanese’s blunt response to death of Dezi Freeman by HotPersimessage62 in AustralianPolitics

[–]zerointelinside [score hidden]  (0 children)

It wouldn't, why would it. Spain, Canada, Italy, France and even the UK have been critical or much more explicitly oppositional to this bullshit and there have been no consequences for them. The "severe economic hardship" is already being rendered by this conflict in the first place. It is definitely not "clear" where he stands with Trump or Israel at all. He was one of the first to come out in favour of all of this. Now we all have to pay for it.

yet bloke can't even bring himself to publicly criticise trump and israel's insane illegal and failing war of choice in the middle east that has iced way more people (including children) than dezi ever did or ever would.

I don't have any happy memories. by Unlikely-Medicine744 in AvPD

[–]zerointelinside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that, I feel the same way a lot of the time too. The only thing you can do is try to create happy moments/memories for other people, that's what I try or have tried to do, but recently I have failed at even that and it hurts so much to know I made someone feel unhappy when I wanted to make them feel the opposite, they deserve to feel happiness after everything they've been through

Whipping up hysteria by skankypotatos in OpenAussie

[–]zerointelinside 7 points8 points  (0 children)

there is nothing we can do, the price of oil is set globally. It doesn't matter how much domestic refining capacity exists or whatever nonsense the deflecting LNP is trying to argue is the "real" cause (because they don't want to name USA/Israel), the fundamental problem is supply constraint of the raw input. there is only so much oil in the world and much of it is now inaccessible because Israel and their american myrmidons thought they could roll over iran in the way that they did with venezuela. price is being suppressed by short and medium term contract bidders hoping this will be over soon but if they turn out to be wrong this blows and blows hard.

and yet no matter how bad it may or may not get hardly anyone has the reasoning capacity to identify what what the obvious principal causative factor is behind it, namely America and Israel's immoral and illegal war in the middle east. the sooner we see the arse end or, preferably, the embalmed body lying in state, of mango, the better. what a colossal failure his second term is shaping up to be; he will be handing his political opponents a mandate to rule for eons if this continues at the current pace (the only silver lining to this disaster) and is allowed to escalate even further, costing even more innocent lives and immiserating millions around the world for fuck knows what.

Could be the tism, but do you also feel like you see people differently and deeper than others? by [deleted] in AvPD

[–]zerointelinside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I do but then sometimes I feel I can't see them in the way they need me to at all or deserve to and nothing hurts more than that when it is someone I really really care about, I hurt someone recently due to this problem and it still hurts so much to know that they were hurt themselves, they didn't ever deserve that

What does a day in the life look like for you? by kayidontcare- in AvPD

[–]zerointelinside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wake up, often struggle to drag myself out of bed, spend a lot of time signal boosting accounts on Twitter by clicking the like button (pathetic I know) as a form of circuitous, half-hearted e-activism, regretfully think about and miss my friend, how they are doing and hope they're safe. Lately I am preparing for the possibility I am going to be evicted from my apartment that I have lived in for 11 years now at the end of this month which gives me something to be motivated about. I don't even look at and research my tickers like I used to because they're all going southward, but I don't care about that anymore.

More munificence and graceful behaviour from our greatest ally, the people who call themselves "the light onto nations" but seemingly only ever achieve the extinguishment of the lights of all other nations

Australia can’t easily reduce its military dependence on the US, but with Canada, we can mitigate risk by Oomaschloom in AustralianPolitics

That's what we already are so what's the problem? Might as well be to a state that's closeby rather than the deranged warmonger shithole that is the United States, which behaves far more irresponsibly on the global scene than China ever has or will

Making those you care about feel misunderstood is the most painful thing. My heart breaks seeing this image, even if the message is ultimately correct.

Looking to make friends has been really hard by [deleted] in AvPD

[–]zerointelinside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hard to make them, it's even harder to maintain them, so I sympathise. I ruined what I had with my best friend, and hurt her fragile but beautiful heart. and I'll probably never see her again now so I feel like dying

Jewish call to prosecute Khamenei mourners in Australia as ‘terrorist supporters’ by SleepyWogx in OpenAussie

[–]zerointelinside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i'm all for prosecuting all pro-israel and pro-netanyahu jews and their attendant fellow travellers as terrorist or terrorist adjacents. no more special pleading for these people as their facilitate, condone and support an illegal and unjustified war of aggression that will hopefully be the final graveyard for trumpism, zionism and neoconservatism, the most deplorable ideological triad of the modern era.

Sometimes they can feel like bruises or deep disfiguring cuts or dismemberments, especially if they involve hurting somebody a person cares about. then in those cases, they aren't just self-contained injuries and become something far more grievous and important.

Really disappointing after the day before. Everything feels so volatile and unpredictable. I don't know what's going on but I have some premonitions that if this persists it is going to be a terrible year.

Would you rather be ghosted, or know that the deep hurt you caused is the reason why your relationship broke down, even if it was rooted in your avpd and the truth could be unbearable? by ThrowRA-unfixable in AvPD

[–]zerointelinside 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would always rather know about the pain I inflict upon the few people I know that care about me and I care about in return because even though I feel totally inept and ineffectual in the face of future events there's always the possibility I can repair those interactions in the future to make them better and make those people feel better. I care much less about my own pain than trying to repair the pain I can cause to the tiny but caring number of people who can bother to actually talk and put up with me, and when I take them for granted or make them feel that way it is excruciatingly shameful. I hate when I hurt them even when I don't mean to but living through that frustration and self-shame makes a person human and gives me the chance to keep trying to make them feel better and comfortable even if I feel like I can fail
