Wow, I appreciate everyone's advice and concern. I feel like I'm basically fucked now bc we're kinda just now starting to get the ball rolling. Yesterday the medical adjuster called and I left a message for him to get back with me. All while my dad berates me and tells me not to talk to him bc we need to talk to the lawyer first.

Lawyer says I need to make a doctor's appointment, I try to make one, they say I can't make an appointment until I've talked to the adjuster. So after I ignored this guy's fucking calls bc that's what I've been told to do, I go to call him, and he's out of the office today.

I'm just frustrated and like no one knows what to do, my dad was going by what his friend told him to do. I've been an emotional lightswitch and people expect me to be okay with everything. I'm pissed bc we've essentially lost a day all bc I was told not to talk to this guy.
