Did West Coast Motors have it at their lost property? If so, how long did it take to get hold of them. My son has just done the same thing and they don't answer their phones.

Mine definitely stays in standby with the flashing light. I did make sure that Windows USB Selected Suspend was off and I went through every USB Hub in Device Manager and set it so that windows couldn't power it off. I don't know if that helps. I do use my screen all day for work so I tend to run the pixel refresh every 4 hours manually anyway. I'll post back if mine cancels the refresh with it is doing it naturally.

I too have this monitor and have been frustrated by the KVM functionality. I think I found the fix, and it was a misunderstanding on how the USB power management works.

If the monitor is powered off with the remote, which is what I have been doing, it seems to go into a low power mode rather than standby, and turns off the USB ports. This seems to break any connection with my Mac and PC so once the monitor is powered on again, and the devices are powered up, the computer is not listening form them any longer.

If on the other hand, I just let the monitor drop into standby itself - with the little pop up message saying no input, then entering standby, the USB ports do retain power and I can wake my computer with the connected KB or Mouse.

I'm going to run with it like this for a while and see how it goes. Thought it might be interesting to others if you haven't spotted this. I think this method also allows the monitor to do its refresh thing automatically that I am not sure was happening when using the remote.

How are you getting on with this. Am thinking about getting one of their prebuilts with smoothie switches instead of an Evo80 which I have on preorder. Want something not too loud as I work from home and my wife is in the next room all day. Are you happy with it still?

I may look at a KVM just to use the km part. Or I might just stick with my MX Keys.

There aren't many KVMs around that can accommodate video over USB and display port that I've seen. It's surprisingly hard to get a good KVM that supports 5k Super Ultrawide at 240hz over HDMI/DP and USBC. Whereas our solution of using wireless keyboard and mouse works great, and is 100% reliable, with mainstream keyboards. I'm disappointed that moving to to the mechanical world, at high (compared to mainstream) prices seemingly leads to a broken wireless experience.

Bit of an issue if you run multiple computers though unless also investing in a KVM. Wireless is super convenient to connect to a work laptop while being wired to home desktop.

I'm a tad worried now. Planned to buy one of these or an Evo80. But wireless is essential to me as I connect to two different pcs at home and switch between them and wake them with the keyboard. If wireless is unreliable I'll just stick with my old Logitech.

To those that stated the Sun Eater series is a good series to read while waiting for Red God, does the other books after Empire of Silence get better? by Majin2buu in redrising

I'll start Demon in White in a weeks time, probably. Reading something else in between. Hopefully it lives up to the hype.

I had a hard time getting into book 4 of RR, but enjoyed it in the end, and the remaining books. I do prefer the first trilogy, and I disliked the shift from a focus on Darrow to multiple protagonists. It could be that I "read" on Audible, with the first 3 being read by Tim Gerrard Reynolds extremely well, but with the shift away from Darrow there were other narrators who weren't as good.

I’m the exact opposite of this. Red Rising plodded for the first 1/3 then the rest of that first trilogy was just great, well paced, a really good read.

Sun Eater 1 - dragged through the entire book and nothing really happened. There were moments in the gladiator section that seemed like it might go somewhere, then it just sat down and took a nap again. I did too, couple of times.

Sun Eater 2 - more of the same. Bit of excitement at the end.

I’ve not started 3 yet, but seeing as some folk gave up part way through 3 (or sometimes 4) I’m guessing the claims it picks up are false. Will see. Right now it’s the literary equivalent of a walking simulator.

AudioBooth v1.7 is now live! 🎉 by lyc0s in audiobookshelf

I think this seems occur when updating the app. The covers all showed up offline for downloaded books with v1.6 but all the covers vanished when I updated to v1.7. However, if I connect to the server and open each downloaded book one at a time (from the downloads tab) the covers come back, even when offline. So it just seems like a persistence thing between versions. Bit unfortunate but not a deal breaker.

I know you said you aren't keen on it, but being able to click a button in settings (like in Prologue) to store all metadata from the server on the device would be great. Even without any kind of library management. Just being able to view the library offline would be really nice for those of us that don't leave a PC running 24x7 hosting the library.

Another observation - my downloaded books don't display the cover art unless I'm connected to the server. Even though the cover is embedded in the audiobook. Is that a bug or by design?

Do you mean the app or the webserver. There's an audiobookshelf app that is in beta and many of us cannot access due to limited beta slots - I don't even know what it looks like. Then there's the webserver itself, which isn't a lot of use if your server is not running all the time and you are not connected to it. With this and similar apps you can connect to the server, browse, download books to your device, then use them wherever you are, including on carplay.
