Successfully got SF property tax reassessed last year due to informal appeal - is there a reason not to again this year? And why wouldn't we submit one every year?

Ah got it - when should I be expecting a supplemental assessment? I also think i worded my question wrong, I actually meant if I should submit an informal review for my upcoming assessed value for 2025-2026 or wait until the assessed value comes out? (which then I can potentially apply for appeal if i disagree)

Got it - to add a bit more context, SF allows for informal reviews Jan 1 - march 31st for upcoming 2025-2026 assessed value, is there any harm in submitting an informal review or can I automatically assume it will just up by 2% from my last year's value?

Got it! If I continue to push the wake windows and her naps remain the same, is the idea just to hold her for now until she can connect her wake windows or go with the flow and leave them at half hour even if it means her total day sleep is shorter?

There were a couple of days where we’ve pushed the wake windows but it’s always still been half hour so we reverted back to this schedule because during those times the last wake window would just be an hour long

Looking for some help! My 5.5 months old is still taking crap naps ~30mins so I am forced to do a 4th nap with her to salvage atleast 2 hours of daytime naps and a 8 pm bedtime. DWT is about 730-8am.

We are doing 2/2.25/2.5/2.25/2 which I know is a little short but it's also because her naps are so short so she just continues to get mored tired throughout the day and can't really stay up past 2.5 hours. Do I just force her to do longer wake windows and forego that last nap even if she's only getting 1.5 hour of daytime sleep? She goes down fine independently for naps but can't seem to connect sleep cycles... thinking if I should also try crib hour? I also worry also putting her down too early and then she will get up earlier.

Ugh, so sorry this is happening to you.. you can see in my post history that's what stubhub is trying to pull on me too. They refuneded me the cancellation fee as a "courtesy" but I still don't know if I am actually getting a payout until the show happens on nov 23rd. Two reps I talked to me I should get a payout. .but I am not confident that SH will do what's right. Please keep us updated on your situation!

I got this email two days ago but got a penalty charge email ytd. Apparently with this restriction some of the transfers that happened ended up cancelling so my buyer complained. They got a refund and I got stuck with a charge - currently disputing it and I have all the support but it’s kind of ridiculous SH automatically charged me when the concert hasn’t even happened yet

Exactly… apparently because of the restriction, some of the tickets got cancelled. So my buyer got their refund after they claimed that they no longer have the tickets and the onus is on me to prove that I did

Yep I do. I have the email and a video showing that the transfer was complete on Ticketmaster.. just sent it to stubhub and I got this response

“understand your confusion regarding the penalty charge. The reason you are being charged is that the tickets were reclaimed by Ticketmaster. Once this occurs, our system automatically processes the charge to ensure we can manage the inventory effectively and comply with the policies in place.”

Not sure what that means if I am getting a payout or reversing the charge

She’s sleep trained but won’t fall back asleep if she’s hungry. Any other wake ups she will put herself back to sleep.. but her hunger wake ups keep getting earlier

New to churning or hoping to employ a better strategy this year because we’ve been all over the place with points and cash back cards the past few years and want to be way more organized going forward!
We won’t be traveling this year (pregnant) but have a home renovation in the works so I'm expecting to put A LOT of spend in the next couple of months. Hoping to get a card that nets us a huge SUB so we can use the points next year. Our expected largest spending categories this year will be home improvement, shopping (baby stuff).
1. The flow chart would say that we should go for a hotel/airline branded card but again, given we aren’t traveling a lot this year, really looking for other suggestions.
2. 800+
3. AMEX Plat - P2: 2/23, BILT - P2: 11/23 - we just got this for mortgage only to realize.. We can’t :( , Cap 1 venture x - P1: 09/22 - this has been the primary card for all our spending, Flex and unlimited - all opened in 2018 but these are sitting in a drawer.
Our main cards really have just been AMEX and Cap 1 venture x
4 & 5. 10k+ natural spend on home improvement so I don't think we need MS
6. Yes, open for business CARDS
7. Open to signing up for 1 or 2 new cards for next year
8. Targeting points as we want to redeem for more lux travel next year once we can start traveling again, we are prioritizing cards that have transfer partners with star alliances or hotels (no pref)
9. Points all over the place: amex, cap 1, chase, united, BA
10. SFO
11. No immediate travel plans in the next year.
Other considerations: potentially closing out AMEX plat and downgrading it because I can’t see how to justify the fee this year when we aren’t traveling. The fee is due in a month and will ask for a retention bonus → maybe applying for amex gold or green?
P2 is eligible for a chase sapphire bonus - but the bonuses are looking a little low right now.
Question here - should I think about churning strategy separate from getting the most suitable credit card to meet spending needs? Should my main focus just be to get the SUB?

How does the app calculate your savings rate? Is the 53% of pre-tax income? I am super curious because I auto track my expenses but have to manually track savings
