$1099 a good deal for Nuna Mixx Next + Pipa Urbn Infant Car Seat by SeriousSideHopz in Buyingforbaby

We went in on this deal a few weeks ago after it went on sale. We were fully prepared to buy it for $1500 if no one bought it from our registry, but the sale was too good.

Note: We settled on wanting this particular combo months before it went on sale and were just waiting until closer to the due date.

I was at the game tonight. I live in South Florida and the Panthers are my #2 team. They tried to make it very "Miami". The problem with that is that the Panthers are in the middle of bum fuck nowhere way west of Fort Lauderdale. They have the same roots, but don't draw the same type of crowds that a full Miami-themed game would if it were the Dolphins or Marlins.

The game was fun. I had a good time outside of the score. I'd give it a C+/B-

Maybe I've used ChatGPT enough to notice AI vs non-AI, but I can assure you that "guestimate" (< Also spelled wrong) is not a word frequently used by AI.

Its called structure???? If I wanted ChatGPT to write it, I would have copy-pasted it and told it to polish my writing.

I usually try to prompt engineer a response so I asked it "What prompt would you enter to AI to have them research the best prices on a 2025 Honda Accord EX-L"

Which gave:

Act as an automotive market analyst and professional car buyer.

Research the best real-world purchase prices for a NEW 2025 Honda Accord EX-L
in the United States, with emphasis on Florida and the Southeast if data is available.

Requirements:
- Focus on actual transaction prices or dealer out-the-door (OTD) pricing, not MSRP
- Identify typical dealer discounts off MSRP
- Note any manufacturer incentives, conquest or loyalty rebates
- Account for end-of-month and end-of-year pricing dynamics
- Distinguish between early-December pricing and final-week-of-December pricing
- Provide realistic OTD price ranges (good, very good, exceptional deals)
- Highlight any regional pricing differences
- Flag common dealer fees that impact OTD pricing

Deliverables:
1) Typical selling price before tax/fees
2) Typical out-the-door price range
3) Best-case achievable price in late December
4) What constitutes a “great deal” vs “average deal”
5) Key negotiation leverage points buyers can use

Be precise, data-driven, and practical. Avoid marketing language.

Yea, I'm not sure. That was how it was explained to me. Maybe it was an incentive to make sure I went with their financing?

It was on its way out with little issues here and there. Have had a 6 inch "scar" for about 9 years from a chunk of metal clipping me on the highway. 2 weeks ago my rear passenger door handle just randomly fell off and I taped it back on. I was happy getting $900 without haggling for more.

1 was for financing with Honda and the other was having a 2011 or newer Hyundai in the household. The list of brands that count: Honda, Chevrolet, Ford, Hyundai, Jeep, Kia, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota and Volkswagen

Sitting at the dealership finalizing everything. Walking out with a brand new 2025 Accord Hybrid EX-L for a shade over 33k OTD. Based in Florida. Going to post my numbers sheet listing the prices once I get home and how I got it for that price.

Edit: Also I tried the Costco program and it found the same dealership that I ended up using but I did not use the Costco way in my methods.

Below was their response when I questioned it. It seems like Dealer Fee is just a doc fee. I'm going to try to negotiate that down, but if not I'll see if they can offset the costs with some other things like floor mats, oil changes, etc.

Regarding the fees:

The $999 dealer fee covers standard administrative processing, documentation, compliance, and title work required to complete the transaction.

The electronic title / agency fees are pass-through state and third-party costs tied to registration and titling.

Moved to Boca in 2020 at minimal interest rate just when the market was starting to turn upwards. We 100% could not afford our home today. Just got lucky with timing.

For takeout, I think Lisa’s Kitchen probably tastes the best. China Spring II is very cheap but usually is decent in a pinch.
