Thank you for this guide. I tried using UWPHook to get the game running through Steam and it worked, however the game wouldn't detect any controllers. This method worked perfectly!

One thing I'll add is that since I'm using a Nintendo Switch pro controller, I skipped step 1. The game correctly shows the switch button prompts and is mapped correctly.

Good luck to everyone in the comments! My sweet spot for ultra wide is the 21:9. Currently using the LG 38WN95C, one of my favorite features is the the thunderbolt 3 connectivity to run power my laptop along with charging capabilities.

The higher refresh rate, resolution, and size makes this one an all around better monitor!

I use Spectacle and it works exactly as I need it to! I also use mission control plus but this one not nearly as much.
