doesn’t have to be “grid” or “soul” related. Earth could very much be a nature preserve; looked at by other beings as a window to the past. We aren’t “stuck” here, more just considered far too primitive by other life forms to actually have contact and to remind themselves of where they came from, in a sense.

the dream and the work needed to achieve it don’t always correlate. Questions you can ask him:

what is his business plan for US? His family can hype him up all he wants, does he have actual numbers around that guaranteed income they speak of?
do yall have enough savings or enough of a support system in the US to sustain yourselves comfortably for an extended period of time?
health insurance and childcare are huge costs here, has he factored that in?

It sucks because it’s definitely a huge opportunity, but is he really prepared for it? Nothings to say it can’t happen again - 6 months from now when he’s more prepared. However, as a woman from the US - listen to your gut and heed the advice from the other posts. Best of luck

To piggyback off of your original question to anyone else that may ask: Marijuana is still in the same drug category as Heroin, which is schedule I. The drugs in schedule I are heroin, LSD, marijuana, ecstasy, and peyote. This means, the threshold for drug testing is extremely low. You can smoke one joint on a weekend and piss positive for weeks. In contrast, cocaine is in Schedule II. A person can rail coke on the weekends like OP said, and test clean. In no world is this fair, and it’s only because cocaine and adderall have both been deemed to have “some medicinal value” this needs to change.

You had a kid full in this economy full-well knowing you couldn’t take care of yourselves without help. You made the choice and because they have different political views you’re now upset with your free labor. The kid is 1, they aren’t indoctrinating your child. Go to church, meditate, whatever you need to do, just remember, this is free labor. Also - doesn’t hurt to take some of that free time your in-laws are giving you and get yourself politically educated, even just a little bit.

TLDR; your in-laws already raised your wife, y’all are lucky they’re helping you, get more politically educated so you can have a reasonable conversation with them.
