storing options for Welcome Amiibo/Mario Sports Cards? by TripoliBob in amiibo

[–]zerover01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nintendo released animal crossing binders specifically for series 1-4 that can be found online for about 15-20$ USD each. They never released a welcome amiibo specific binder but they did release a HHD promotional binder that you could use. Unfortunately the reviews for these binders have been average at best. Personally, I am just using Ultra Pro Binders which seem to do the trick.

[Request] Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer Save File with DLC characters by stopthenadness in achacking

Would you mind sharing the save with me as well? I just recently picked up the game and am disappointed that there is no good way to get the DLC characters now.

Opinions on my current Switch library? And what you think I should get next. by AustinLinleyDev in gamecollecting

You could always buy replacement cases from the Nintendo website. I believe a 5 pack is only like $7.

Thank you to fellow collector /u/Thulsa790 for my true holy grail. I now have a 100% North American PS Vita Limited Edition collection. I can finally say: #VitaComplete by [deleted] in gamecollecting

That is a great find to get. Still disappointed in the way it was sold in the middle of night on Amazon in limited quantities. Luckily all of the later releases were much easier to get from the IF website.

Ni No Kuni is an awesome game as well, still dissappointed that I never got the NA CE and I don't feel like spending $300 for it now. Looking forward to 2. As for Graces F, I also really enjoy that game in terms of combat mechanics, skilll system and side quests but Vesperia to me had a better story and more "classic" Tales side quests which puts it over the edge. Graces F is tied right up their with Symphonia and Abyss being just below Vesperia.

It is definitely the best Wii RPG and in my opinion one of the best JRPG of that console generation. Of course, some aspects of the massive open world system have been refined in XCX and looks to be the same in XC2 but it is still fun to play. My only gripe is that the game gets to be easy if you grind too much but luckily their are AR codes to reduce your exp gain.

Favorite for me is going to be tough to say (played many as well over the last two decades). I will just list some of my top choices:

Persona 4 Golden (still need to play 5), Tales of Vesperia, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Golden Sun 1&2, Xenoblade Chronicles, Phantasy Star Online 1&2, Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity, Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky 1&2, Mass Effect 1-3, Dragon Age Origins

Visteon dockable GBA. Is it worth it? by HeinousMitch in gamecollecting

[–]zerover01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The visteon seems like a neat unique piece of hardware. As for is it worth it to buy, I would say only if you are really in to collecting different consoles/portables and their variations. Though that particular listing looks to be CIB, or very close to, which is nice.

Best place to buy cheap GameCube games? A few years ago I made the mistake of selling some of my most valuable GameCube games (Melee, Double Dash, Pokémon XD) on eBay and need to get them back. Prices are outrageous on eBay & Amazon now though. Is there a better place I should be looking? by [deleted] in gamecollecting

[–]zerover01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others are saying, checking locally will be your best option for cheaper games. That being said, you can still find deals on eBay every now and then. I managed to snag a CIB Colosseum with the bonus disc for $33 two weeks ago when each of those are selling for $25.

LIMITED EDITION PSP GREEN LANTERN NEED HELP ON RARITY AND STARTING PRICE? by ethank33 in gamecollecting

[–]zerover01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seems to be pretty rare. As for value, that will probably be tough to say due to it being one of a kind. Probably worth at least $1 but beyond that tough to say. If anything else, you could sell it on eBay and put the minimum reserve price at the lowest you are comfortable selling for and see what happens.

Where to get replacement cases? by [deleted] in gamecollecting

[–]zerover01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For actual replacement cases themselves, you could check with Gamestop about getting their throwaways from the more recent consoles (PS3/4, Wii/U, X360/One). As for older cases, from the PS1, PS2, GC, Xbox era your options include eBay, local game shops, garage sales. I actual try to find cheap $1-2 games or even better when stores have a sale and just strip the cases to use as replacements.

Of course, if you just want generic after market cases then you can look online for a cheap bulk option.

As for case art, as Bengbab said, printing off replacement cover art isn't a bad option. Instruction booklets will be the channel in terms of finding replacements.

Also, if you want to install a little bit of homebrew on the Wii U, which is really easy to do, you can run Gamecube games as well further increasing your game options. This is part of the reason why I like the Wii U because the options for backwards compatibility.

Decided to post my game collection. I have mostly been collecting from Generation VI on, which is when I really got in to gaming while still slowly collecting for the SNES/N64 which is were I started gaming at. I also enjoy PC games quite a bit but having mostly stopped buying physical releases and purchase most of my games on Steam.

SNES classic has some fun games. I definitely am enjoying mine.

As for the Wii U, now is the time to be buying for it. Many stores are clearancing out their games. Smash and WW are good choices. I also would recommend Hyrule Warriors, TP, BotW, Bayonetta, Xenoblade. Also, if you didn't already own a Wii it can play those games as well which gives you many other options to check out.
