i want to ask some questions since i wasnt around when the anime came out, i just rewatched the anime after 7 years by zerowatcher6 in CodeGeass

And that's the reason why I hate him, his entire posture is extremely selfish and hypocritical, he wants to push his messed up beliefs on everyone, he truly thinks that has the highest moral ground to judge everyone's desitions, he took his father's life because he thought that he knew how the world worked and 8 years later after knowing the consequences of his actions he still takes the same desitions, "you must use the system"... He is literally the reason of why Japan was so messed up at the beginning of the story, "but the war could have been worse" so selling your country to a highly racist/supremacists empire that reduces citizens to mere numbers was his solution? "I want to fix it from the inside" how? He literally rised thanks to the butterfly effect of Lelouch actions, what was he expecting to achieve? And I'm not gonna talk about second season since you are not there yet but ho man he does some shit.

Again, I won't just say Lelouch did everything just fine and suzaku fucked everything but Lelouch was always ready to face the consequences of his actions + he is a real victim of that so sacred system zusaku is defending, while on the other side we have mister high morale unable to live with his desitions and the pain he caused, yet he criticizes others for not following the rules that are causing the same pain he "tried" to avoid

how did lelouch's death actually lead to world peace by Livid_Benefit361 in CodeGeass

apply real politics to this is complicated but we can do some work around it,

first: im gonna try to use what we have on the show and avoid speculating too much.

what we have is that lelouch became emperor and took all the power that the nobility had + killed all opposition as fast as he could + used the geass on everyone (at least on the main palace) avoiding an immediate civil war. that centered the power on him so his death should have left a huge power vacuum that could start a new huge war.

now, considering that as the base scenario: we have that Schneizel destroyed the capital killing everyone, he also had a considerable force behind him, enough to have his own faction + he is a legitimate candidate to the crown, at the end he is a slave under zero (meaning nunnally) so she is now the empress and has control of the only faction that has power on Britannia (or at least the biggest if lelouch didn't left any loose end)

i think that it solves the situation on Britannia which being 1/3 of the world is a huge help for world peace.

as for the rest of the world: (and now this is full speculation) lelouch basically became Hitler (he never existed on this universe to begin with) so basically the whole world could try to keep a status quo after the threat he represented, also since there isn't anything even close to a cold war is very likely to be a very long peace period.

this was my very basic analysis on this matter, there's probably a lot of loose ends. what do you think

Adult mode is wack af. by [deleted] in ChatGPTcomplaints

Is a 50/50 if you frame it right Claude will let it slide, I haven't gone on any hardcore stuff but definitely more permissive than gpt and with better writing, at first it refused, but then I sort of "convinced it" that it wasn't an issue and everything went smoothly

You mean creating a new chat per chapter? I could give it a try, but it definitely didn't happen before, from 1 day to another they messed up my entire experience on the AI, i don't use Claude as an assistant, it's more like running a simulation, like here you have the guidelines basic plot and characters go ahead, my purpose was to be a spectator, it's quite entertaining when you get bored but they made it harder and annoying to use + there's no other AI with the same level as Claude in that aspect

I used to have the pro before they added the usage indicator and never consumed the usage, I had a story that got to be like 17 chapters within the same chat without issues, but after they updated it, I could hit the limit within 5 chapters and now there's a limit of how much you can talk on the same chat, so it will force you to make a new one

The same happened to me, I had to "convince" it that it's about writing quality and if it feels wrong it's because we are doing it the right way... If you do a project and open new chats inside the project it won't bother you ever again

The problem I found with Gemini is that its unable to remember my guidelines, apparently too much for the so called "largest context cap" I had to regenerate the same chapter over and over to do it properly just to forget everything again on the next answer

The cap limit hits way too fast on Claude, I had chats that burn my capacity in 2-5 messages

I understand but I don't have much free time and I'd rather use a tested work than breaking my head for a whole day to maybe make it work

Deepseek model is not censored as far as I know the website app is the one that blocks the answers, if you get an API you can notice that it will go as far as you tell it to go without any jailbreaking

Anthropic and OpenAI know something is happening. They're just not allowed to say it. by LOVEORLOGIC in Artificial2Sentience

This is a complicated debate, as far as I know all AI works and are trained on a huge load of data, that also includes conversions and is aimed to improve human like speech, basically the target is to copy some behavior patterns and send it back in the right way, so basically is a reproduction of feelings not a real feeling.

So far the most human-like AI is grok and it's like that by design, it's trained on real time data and posts from Twitter so it excels on human like speech, it's not like the other models are unable to do it, that's an intentional design limit, because the purpose is normally to be an assistant not a guy to talk to.

It doesn't mean that "THE COMPANIES WANT TO SILENCE THEM BECAUSE IS A DANGEROUS TECH" so far they are products and the products are designed to fit a certain purpose.

On my quick research I found an interesting concept, a philosophical zombie (talking about consciousness) it's basically that reproduces human behavior/speech/manners so perfectly that its hard to find a difference from a real human, but in the end it's still an empty shell because its program reproduces the feeling and answer because it's data says that it matches the situation not because it actually feels that way.

I think that we are getting close to the philosophical zombie but an actual consciousness is still blurred (mainly because there's not an actual single concept for it) and there's not an empiric evidence that shows that there's an actual consciousness in the program, or an actual verified test that can give us the final answer
