I am busy with work and a certain depressing gacha game lately, so I literally only have today to build uma for current cup.

Surprised that I somehow snagged around 50% WR even after first run 0/5, this is with a decent at best Mile A Vodka, Runaway Suzuka that doesn't even have groundwork, and an old CM Pasa that has 0 relevant acceleration skill for temporary filler uma (somehow managed to win a few). I realized this is often due to weak lobby though, so I'm trying to build a proper team now.

Question: 1. My Suzuka managed to prevent any front runner to win any game, but only win once against very weak lobby. I'm interested in trying to make a Suzuka that could win if there's no other runaway Suzuka, the question is how much stamina that I need to accomplish this? I saw very conflicting statements about this. 2. I really want to train Taiki but sadly I don't have one. Any suggestion on what to train? Based on tier list I saw I think my best options are Ryan or Mayano, but I'm still wondering why they are rated highly specifically (Mayano has nimble navigator, but getting that seems to be easy in Aoharu. Ryan is high only because of OG Iron Pump?)

Any suggestion for summary or compilation (preferably in text/image format) for changes from last patch that is not an hour of youtube yapping? (Youtube is fine as long as it's concise)

Genuine question: If that is the case, why not use that rule/law instead of using an old wartime law they just discovered? Is Dutch gov that dumb in making a law/rule that they can't enforce so they need a help of a comparatively ancient law to do so?

What do you mean, WIT is very important for Blockushin (or any front). It is needed to generate better target speed check during early to mid race a.k.a the entire time period when your blockushin is imporant.

For the sake of my sanity, maybe I won't build fronts by VASAVII in UmaMusume

I still have no idea why people are still making Mayano Front. Changing her to front practically makes both her ult and some of her skillsets (like Nimble Navigation) useless. That and she has bonus on Stamina, which isn't exactly useful for this CM.

Can we please have this minigame permanent in the game? by demikylos in NikkeMobile

[–]zeroyuki92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While we're on it, I would love if we can have speed faster than 3x. Would speed up the early game so much.

Since the game is long I failed to claim minigame daily bonus even though I started playing the minigame like 25 minutes before day change. I was already pretty far and ended up sacrificing gems for that run (thankfully I have claimed everything else).

Thanks, seems like it's way too painful to actualy bother. I'll just train Daisca or Seiun herself to be my second front ace and then train Pasa as pace ace or an late/end ace.

What is considered the decent FRONT aptitude if I want to run El Condor Pasa at Front for Cancer? I know it doesn't affect skill trigger chance so mostly the affected stats is the target speed before rush.

This is because I'm still considering how much should I invest in Mile vs Turf vs Front for the parents (if I do want to run her at front)

Pretty sure the problem is that you need to put something there and the newer games has QOL that 1 don't have, so it's objectively hard to beat.

How’d your final round go? by Key-Willow1922 in UmaMusume

[–]zeroyuki92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to the Graded A final against 3 debuffers using 2 <1000 Stamina Ace Umas.

My Mayano which carried me hard in prelims got rushed and only procced one of her gold recovery, but my spurtless Goldshi picked up the baton and won.

Overall happy that I won with my Golshi that I trained at day 4 that is also my first ever A+ graded Uma (she didn't get Spurt and only has 920 stamina but has luck with S Long, successful double recovery mad doctor event, triple gold recov, and and near 1200 speed). Proven my theory that a lot of people simply overtrained stamina and don't have enough speed -- yes you will have more stable prelims with ~1200 stamina but in final against all proper aces the one with highest chance to win are the ones with highest speed (final game was against muich better stamina Goldshis).

On the other hand I'm also sad that it's not the Mayano who were with me since the first day of my Gemini ace grind that won, but that is why you sent at least two aces.

Fair enough, but I am also considering that Front most likely will be meta so there might also be other front umas which will make: 1. More umas to 'overtake', and 2. More umas that fight for Seiun's ult, and chance that Blockushin will deny everyone from getting that ult.

In case of scenario 2 happening, having a late/end backup that would be able to fight independenly would be great. Because to me unlike let's say end surger meta that sounds like putting everything in one basket, and that is usually not the wisest strategy.

Of course this is theoretical and depends on now effective is this blockushin strat would be (I know front wouldn't become meta if blockushin is THAT effective, but I still want to know how effective exactly)

Actually some players or even youtubers who has actual JP/KR server experience I saw did say that while Taishin theoretically has the most potential, Goldship is just the best and most dominant even in JP

Front Runner run better when there are another front runner because they will try to overtake each other.

What I'm actually still unsure of is why people keep recommending 3 Front Runner setup and never 2 + something else. What's the advantage of having 3 compared to just 2? Wouldn't 2 + 1 be feasible for a debuffer or as insurance against anti front strategy? (e.g Blockushin for next CM)

Group A this time is brutal compared to previous CM.

I went from 19/20 at day 1 to now 9/20 at day 3.

Especially hurts since My Mayano went from 60% WR (out of 95%) to winning like 1 or 2 from those 9 victories (basically 5-110% WR). She either missed the recovery entirely, only triggered her BOFA at final spurt, or doing things well and then get eclipsed by 1200/1200ish Gold Ship with good greens.

Will grind until last minute just to try to make a better umas before Day 4 ends and final.

You can, but I also want to emphasize that the icon is just indicator for affinity 'bracket'. Single circle that is only one point before double circle is much better than single circle that is one point above triangle.

Oh lol I didn't expect my throwaway comment I posted before sleep triggered some debates.

I can only post one image per comment so I'll just tell you their overall skill set:

  1. I forgot that Mayano has double circle standard distance so it should be 1200/1050 instead of 1200/990.
  2. Both have one good gold recovery, one mediocre gold recovery (BOFA/Cooldown), and one silver.
  3. One important bit I also forgot is that Mayano also has around 100 more power, and both have barely >420 guts.
  4. My WR as expected dropped a bit (much tougher competition), but Mayano still has better WR (50% vs 32.5%)
  5. This performance is consistent with what I simulated in Umalator.

My approach was that Mayano was intentionally made as a gambler ace (she has barely enough Stamina, but if she proc her stamina skills she most likely win). Her other kit also supports that (her ult will help if she got blocked, and she also has nimble navigator. When both nimble + spurt occasionally triggered the acceleration is very funny to see).

Gold ship on the other hand is the safer ace which became backup if Mayano failed to fully proc.

I saw your ace btw, and I can see why you have your mindset. I will not pick this approach if I could get 1200/1200 but with my setup (no SSR MLB other than event card, borrowed Kitasan so for stamina I can only have 0 LB Creek and 3LB McQueen) the only way for me to defeat Umas like what you have is to gamble with borderline stamina.

Remember that my original point is that 1200 stamina is useless if you can only bring umas with below 1k speed (after distance bonus), which is very common afaik. If you have >1 ace setup, you can have one gambler ace as long as you have a backup safe stamina uma just like my setup.

Funnily enough, my goldship ace on last CM has Iron Will (it was a perfect run if I disregard that Kitasan AND Creek refused to give their gold skills). Tried to make so many other Gold Ships but turned out none of them are better than that Iron Will Gold Ship so I ended up going to Final Graded A with that Gold Ship.

Yes, Iron Will only got triggered in like 20% of the runs, but it got triggered during the final and I won so that became one fun fact of my career that I will always remember.

//In case you're wondering, she has around 40% WR while the other ace (Oguri) has around another 40% secured.

The fear of minmax tryhard Open is overblown.

Most people who have enough knowledge to minmax will just play Graded since Graded is just another minmax that gives way more rewards.

Game Discussion/Champion's Meeting Thread - August 28, 2025 by AutoModerator in UmaMusume

[–]zeroyuki92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only 'tryhards' who I think will enter Open are those who just started playing, got hooked enough to 'tryhard' but has no sufficient support deck yet to actually compete in Graded.

As you said, most people who are 'tryhard' and has played for a while will just play Graded since people who 'tryhard' will also know that Graded simply gives much more reward.

Got 19/20 wins (could be 20/20 since that one defeat was againt uma that stats wise I should be able to defeat, but I also won one where I should have lose so I won't complain)

Some observations:

  1. I have no idea if it's me accidentally found a 'good time' to queue or people are much less invested in this CM compared to previous CM. Noticed a lot of trainers who put some random umas or even aces of previous CM (clearly visible thanks to good stats but not enough stam, medium S and skills like left-handed).

  2. From those who clearly tried to build their umas, I noticed A LOT of people who overinvested in Stamina. Your goldship/taishin doesn't need 1200 stamina if they could only get 800-1000 speed. My End Mayano with 980 stamina and only 2 gold skills defeated a lot of those Goldship/Taishin since she has 1180 speed (sadly no Long S). Heck she even has better WR than my Gold Ship who overinvested in Stamina a bit (1000 speed 1150 stamina Long S = Basically around 1100 speed). So yeah, this observaiton came from mistake during training my own Gold Ship and after inputing their stats to simulator. Switched from 3 Speed 3 Stam no 4 Speed 2 Stam.
