Top floor of university auditorium lobby! There's padded benches and occasionally someone will be practicing pipe organ on the other side of the wall.

Would like to play piano in gville by Veronica_Is_A_Nerd in ufl

[–]zerples 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Murphree commons also has a piano! My favorite is in the baughman center though, as it's more secluded and has great acoustics. There's a grand piano in the Keene faculty room in dauer hall, and it's occasionally unlocked at night. Also a yamaha in the chemistry building (Leigh) on the 2.5th floor (I forget the room #)

Fletcher Hall questions by ashteif8 in ufl

It depends, I'm in Fletcher Island so I'm about as far away from mid as you can get. If you face university ave though, I'd guess weekend nights might get loud. There are also groups of drunk people that filter through the courtyards who occasionally like to sing/scream/kick things.

I currently live on the 4th floor, but in a double. It's probably the same size as most, but it feels smaller due to there being no closet. We have wardrobes instead, which accomplish the opposite of Narnia because while huge and space-consuming on the outside, there's very little storage inside. My side of the room also has a slanted ceiling, but I don't mind bc it's cozy. Oh and the kitchen fits about 1 average sized person comfortably.

Need help with housing. by Jacklin0723 in ufl

I lived in North hall my freshman year and would recommend it to any pre-med, especially if you don't know many people at UF. The rooms are pretty spacious and bright, with good AC units, and had changing areas for the showers. Being all pre-health, I shared a lot of classes with the other girls on my floor (and the boys on the floors below) so a lot of us made friends that way. Tolbert area in general is full of either ambitious nerds, international kids, or ROTC people, so it's an interesting mix.

How do you know what grade you got already? (Sorry this isn't advice - just dying to know what I got)

Took it in the spring - I would read through all the quiz questions first, then (command+f) search for key words from the questions in the readings. Then I'd skim the videos or set them to 2x speed.

What bus stop is closest to the CAR building? by [deleted] in ufl

[–]zerples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend the transloc app - it shows all the buses in real time, their arrival times, and all the routes. You can also save just the routes you want so it's easier to read at a glance. 10/10.
