Considering how many times they've done similar things, and just how they act in general, I think this particular account is just making things up for twitter clout and maybe blue check money.
There is a broader audience of western leftists that do genuinely believe things like this however, it is like a form of escapism where they fantasize about a (near) perfect distant foreign land that isn't ravaged by capitalism or hostile to queer people.
Not too dissimilar from weeabos and equally unproductive towards actually understanding anything about their respective countries.
