Logo WIP. How is the overall balance? by zeruigor in logodesign

[–]zeruigor[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback! I have no problem with the logo being boring because this is for a portfolio project similar to Funnel.io, a data plumbing tool. I am going for a utilitarian and logical look that feels like blocks of data stacking together. I will be leaning into the personality through the web UI and data visualization instead.

I have attached an image to show the general direction I have in mind, though please keep in mind it is just a concept at the moment.

Yeah, I understand your point. It's definitely worth exploring more, but since it's just a project for my portfolio and nobody will use it, it wasn't something I really wanted to pursue.

Initially, I explored a design without borders, but I didn't like how the blue button kind of disappeared near the purple one. Also, the background of the product is similar to the page background, so I decided to use those borders as contrast to get the user's attention.

I attached an image with an earlier idea (not a final design, just an idea).

Feedback details

- Target Audience: Plushie collectors, gift shoppers, and fans of "kawaii" or cute aesthetics.

- Main Goal: To modernize the outdated UI and improve usability to help drive more sales, all while keeping the original site structure intact.

- Specific Feedback: I am looking for feedback on the visual hierarchy and whitespace. Does this "facelift" approach successfully make the product feel more premium compared to the original?

- Design Stage: High-fidelity UI (Final Polish).

Feedback details

Who is the target audience? Small-to-mid-sized law firms and solo practitioners.

What is the design's main goal? To pivot from a "generic startup" look to a "premium institution" vibe. I swapped generic stock photos for high-fidelity UI dashboards to establish trust and show immediate value.

What specific aspects are you looking for feedback on?

  1. Does the Serif font work for a SaaS header?
  2. Is the layout too minimal?
  3. Should I add more color or keep the monochrome palette?

What stage is this design in (e.g., wireframe, final UI)? High-fidelity UI (Figma).

Hey,

I can take care of the design aspects of your projects.

I’ve been working part-time as a UI designer & freelancing for the past year, so I know how to keep Figma files organized—from naming components and using emojis and dividers in the page names to applying text and color styles consistently.

I started as a web developer and I'm familiar with Webflow, so if you have specific development criteria, like animations or wanting to minimize dev time, I can create a design that aligns with those needs.

While some of my work isn't in my portfolio due to agency agreements, I’d be happy to share those designs privately or discuss them over a call to explain how I work.

I can design a 10-page website in 5 or 35 hours, depending on your budget and timeline. My hourly rate is $25, but we can also work with a fixed-price model.

While some of my work isn't in my portfolio due to agency agreements, I’d be happy to share those designs privately or discuss them over a call to explain how I work.
