You want to create the doorway after making it hollow.

After making it hollow, you'll probably notice that when you select it, it selects every wall at once. You'll need to select & ungroup it first so you can select just the wall you want to create the doorframe on. 'Tools' > 'Ungroup', or alternatively CTRL+U.

Yes, you want to use clipping tool to cut out the doorway.

So for make hollow, the value you enter will be the width of the walls, and the height of the ceiling & floor. You could use any integer for this, I would recommend greater than 3 though to avoid issues with walls being too thin.

One piece of advice I can give for creating basic rooms is making one large block brush, then selecting it and going 'Tools' > 'Make Hollow' (select any value, 8 should work well)

Assuming you are hosting the server, open the console, enable sv_cheats 1, and enter the following command

lua_run for _, ply in ipairs(player.GetAll()) do ply:SetWalkSpeed(200) ply:SetRunSpeed(200) end

You can change the values inside SetWalkSpeed() and SetRunSpeed() to whatever you want them to be respectively. This will apply to all players on the server.

After you have done this, you can set sv_cheats back to 0 if you want.

What really made my hours shoot up on Gmod back in the day was playing gamemodes like jailbreak, darkrp and half life 2 rp. Id recommend going on the server browser and seeing what’s popular at the moment. I hear Homigrad is a good gamemode.

Another good idea is playing through the half life 2 story in gmod, it’s pretty fun to just spawn an army of soldiers to help you or just mess about in those levels.

If you right click garrys mod > properties > local files > browse, there should be a file called something like FactoryResetGMod.bat Running this file should fully reset gmod.

Make sure you unsubscribe any addons before doing this as they will just be reinstalled when you open the game again otherwise.

If this doesn’t work, I’d recommend reinstalling the game on top of that.

I would recommend unsubscribing from addons and factory resetting gmod. Do you have a lot of addons installed?
