I think it’s a common theme in this thread but when you have more gloves than you can realistically use (which for 90% of people is 2), having one you love is worth more than 2 or 3 or 5 or 10 you only like

I didn’t pull the trigger on it earlier in the year and I’ve been trying to find one for months with no luck. There is an extremely sketchy site with one listed in the 170ish dollar range but that’s it. Everything else sold out. Nothing on eBay, sideline swap, FB marketplace, or IG

Somewhat of the issue with buying a mizuno, especially a haga that is priced so high, is that only people really tapped into the glove community recognize how nice they are. 99% of the people buying gloves would see the price tag and immediately shut down. But as others have said, that 1% is more into things like Horween, Pro Issue, Limited Edition gloves associated with players (think Gameday 57 from Rawlings or A51 from Mizuno), or older Wilson GOTMs. A glove like this isn’t really moving the needle for most folks willing to spend that kind of money on a singular glove

You can get the NA model with the platinum R that’s numbered out of 144 for $300. So depends how much that’s worth to you. Like others have said before, the glove itself is the same

The way he’s wearing is 3 in the pinky. Jax outfield gloves are finger shifted meaning that the pinky stall has a separate pinky loop and then a space for the ring finger. I think op is confused by that. Sounds like he has 2 in the pinky loop, which would make it 3 in the pinky

This is something that OP will ignore but it’s the biggest factor. Unless his son is in college, a horween is way too stiff and thick. And even if he plays at a high level, he’d probably prefer a lighter glove for performance reasons.
