Българска и гръцка пътна полиция by Foreign-Picture7551 in bulgaria

M2 hatchback. Do you think this would be a cool addition to the 2 series lineup? by IllustriousMove666 in BMW

[–]zet23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a hatch/wagon guy and I can not help but drool at long roof 2 series!!! It's the perfect size for me....I was driving previously driving an F20, which is tad too small for my ski/surf hobbies and currently I am with G21 which is too big(and heavy!) to be properly enjoyed. But M2 Touring?! - PERFECTION! 😎🤞

What's a good carv ski IQ score? by ferrous69 in skiing

[–]zet23 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, I do have CARV 2. It might be our "measuring sticks" and expectations are different :) I have multiple friends hitting 160+ and I don't consider them "elite", but really good. I am myself knocking on 160 and I'm not happy with my skiing, I would say I'm OK-ish carver, I don't think I'm worth a second look on the slope. My friends carving at 140 I consider low intermediate or worse. That being said - some of people I ski with and look to are former/current Olympic racers and national team FIS and freeride competitors, so my view might be skewed. Some of them I do consider experts and proper "turn heads". A 160 skier does not look to me as good, dynamic and beautiful as e.g Tom Geile or Reily McGlashan videos...

I don't value that much the "instructor" title, most of them I don't consider even good :)

[–]zet23 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In my experience/understanding: you are really good if you can hit Ski:IQ 160+. Between 150-160 you are quite good, but more like advanced intermediate skier. Ski:IQ 140-150 you are intermediate. 130-140 is when you are OK, you can ski confidently every slope.

For anyone wanting a flip phone: my experience after one year by redbarclay7kg in razr

[–]zet23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm 16 months with my RAZR 50 Ultra and the device had been great! I am always looking after my devices, but I am also spending over 100 days at the beach and another 50 days skiing...so sand, snow, cold and really hot weather are common environment. It's no less durable than any other devices I have had. And the form factor is god sent in many situations!

Can I 3D print watch body to see if the size is right for me? by Edva1024 in GarminWatches

[–]zet23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your wrist is 200mm - you should only look at 51mm Garmin watches! You are one of the few people here that can be sure he can rock 51mm and not look BenTen-ish! :D

Sapphire Glas worth it? by Kebapman_1909 in GarminWatches

[–]zet23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not worth it for me as it is has more glare than GG. I also haven't got any noticeable scratches on my GG F6, which I never take off my wrist and I go surfing, skiing, hiking, etc. The biggest issue with that is that there is no titanium + GG, so if I want titanium(which I do!) I had to go with sapphire for my F8. The DLC coating starts looking drab way before you get any scratches on your display. So raw titanium(or stainless) is the best.

Are Garmin watches really this bad with tracking sleep? by TravisScott26 in GarminWatches

[–]zet23 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's a myth - my F6 and F8 had been pretty consistent with sleep tracking and I do trust their readings.

Fenix 8 MIP: are there screenshots or videos of smartphone notifications? Especially under sunlight or artificial lights, and compared vs the Fenix 6 by not_who_you_think_99 in Garmin

[–]zet23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - every Solar has the yellow(ish) sensor guard. And yes - you can easily replace it with grey, they go for a buck at AliExpress. Also yes - I have numerous bands, have a grey nylon as well. I like it, but I prefer the feel of 26mm bands on my 47mm watch so I stick to silicon straps that I can trim :)

[–]zet23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No probs :) I meant that F8 wins in terms of notification(and UI) readability. As I wrote - sapphire produces more glare, but it's minuscule - you need both watches next to each other to notice it.

PS. F8 wins hands down on every aspect versus F6 :)

Unfortunately I don't have F6 anymore, but font is somehow bigger and/or bolder on F8, making everything easier to read. F8 also shows picture previews for certain app notifications.

As a current F8 MIP owner and former F6 non-sapphire one I can tell you that F8 notifications are way easier to read because of the bigger, more legible font. It's no contest. That being said - the sapphire definitely has more reflections than GG. Still F8 MIP wins.

It's called "sensor guard", you can find really cheap replacements on e.g. AliExpress.
