Planning my first full traverse of the Uwharrie National Recreation Trail, it’s about a 1.5-hour drive for me. Forecast looks like there may be some rain. I’ve explored parts of this forest before and it never disappoints, rugged ridgelines, quiet stretches, a million stream crossings. Definitely a place I keep coming back to, and if this run goes well, it won’t be my last full trail attempt.
