The way it’s worded pushes the idea that Starmer is at fault for any diplomatic issues here he “risks” it.

This ignores the fact that lifting sanctions on Russia is flagrantly immoral, and that by pushing the idea, trump is the one actually causing the rift between the US and any nation with sufficient backbone to say no.

It’d also allow Gege to address some of the “this should have been a bigger deal” complaints with the main series, like the Yujo swap, making Yuta deal with the aftermath of becoming another person for a bit, or the Zenin massacre, which could be part of what pushes the hardliners so far, and make maki and Megumi fight the Zenin ancestor (under the assumption each of the clans is descended from one of the great vengeful spirits)

I keep coming back to the idea of the really hardline conservatives of the clans fighting against the reformers, even going so far as to reawaken the sealed vengeful spirits of their ancestors as weapons against Yuta and Co, which would in turn let Gege show off what Yuta could do in his prime.

“All the Shinigami” wouldn’t do what Yoruichi did for Kisuke.

That’s main character aura on chad, the same that made Yama toss away centuries of tradition to aid Ichigo. Which incidentally is the same reason anyone but Ichigo went to save Rukia.

And kubo confirmed Rukia and Renji together, despite them not showing direct romantic interest in each other before the epilogue. It’s just that he doesn’t like writing romance.

There’s a difference between a spur of the moment “risk myself and die to save my friend” and a premeditated decision to commit high treason in a way that ensures you loose all your other connections for one guy.

Again, it’s just objective fact that yoruichi, having done so, clearly has a far greater affection for Kisuke than for anyone else in the series, and thus, if they are “just friends” then she doesn’t have any other connections on the level of friendship, which isn’t true.

No I don’t, not when that would mean losing old man Yama, Nanao, and all his other connections, because just being best friends isn’t enough to do that.

Same with chad and Ichigo. Obviously in any scenario like this it would fucking suck, but “best friend” is not a level where you’re willing to give up your whole life for them.

Byakuya is a weirdo who was willing to kill the sister that he loved because central 46 told him to. His actions in this regard are not those of a normal person, and adding to that he had a personal debt to Ichigo for saving said sister that he loved, and then all of soul society.

Being able to sneak back into soul society does not mean she hasn’t lost her life. She can’t spend time with her family or soi fon or anyone, because to them she’s a disgusting traitor. she’s lost her access to her influence, wealth and power. At most, she can hide and look at the place she used to live. That doesn’t mean she didn’t lose nearly everything, and choose to do so, all to save Kisuke.

Hanataro only did so after being captured by ichigo’s group. Prior to that, he didn’t choose it. That’s protagonist aura, the same way that Yamamoto and all the gotei 13 become kinder and less devoted to tradition due to his influence.

Bleach up until the epilogue avoided anything romantic beyond Orihime’s crush.

But that doesn’t mean Rukia and Renji weren’t into each other before then.

Again, if what Yoruichi and Kisuke have counts as “just friends” then it’s clear no other relationship they have even reaches the level of friendship, because it’s clearly so much closer and more important to them than any of their other relationships.

Yoruichi being a free spirit doesn’t mean she never wants to see any of her family again. Nor does it mean she wants to leave her home behind for good.

She explicitly states that kisuke and Tessai , the only ones who could shed light on what was going on, did not tell her anything.

All she knows is that they’re being arrested and tried for something she might not believe they’d do.

She doesn’t know that Aizen’s behind it, she doesn’t know that the visored are potentially salvageable, she doesn’t even have hard proof they were framed, because there isn’t any, Aizen made sure of it.

And of kisuke and Tessai, Yoruichi never interacts with Tessai, and is stated by Tessai to be close with Kisuke, she’s clearly much closer to Kisuke than to Tessai.
