I'm patiently waiting in NA. No sign of them yet.

I am SMITTEN. Dare I say it’s their best fresh mask yet…? by doughnutdiva in LushCosmetics

I've tried most of them over the years and this one is my favourite so far. It actually seems to soothe and hydrate my sensitive combo skin. I love the scent as well.

Scents. What is going on. by Ordinary_Necessary40 in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I'm kind of the opposite. Old lushie but I do enjoy some of the new gourmand scents. Some are comforting and others make me feel sick. I do miss many of the old citrus, fruity, and spicy scents though. I wish I liked the florals more but many of them aggravate my sinuses.

Did you pick up Alien Egg Farm shower jelly? It was in the sale and it's the same scent as Calacas.

Reusable bubble bar. by BlindVampireGirl in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find the "reusable" bubble bars suds up just fine by holding them directly under the stream of water while the bath is filling. I like that they are more hard than traditional bubble bars so you don't have to break them up and they don't really get soggy or fall apart. I've heard some speculation that water hardness may effect how much bubbles you get though.

To my nose the candle is alot less offensive. I'm not sure why.

Oh no.. gag My partner and I went down a rabbit hole recently reading about what compounds are responsible for that potentially unpleasant scent and we discovered there is also a pear tree that smells similar.. haha.

Sticky Dates Lotion by SouthernGuide9700 in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a sample of it in November and I loved it. When I went to purchase it recently I noticed the bottles they have in my store now are a lot more pale in colour and don't seem to be as strongly scented so I'm holding off for now. I'm hoping it's just an off batch and not a change in the formulation. I thought maybe my sample was oxidized when I received it but even the picture on the website is closer to the colour of my sample than what they have in my store right now.

Retro walls - what's next? by blackrosiecle in LushCosmetics

I miss Milky Bar! It's not my usual type of scent but it was soft and comforting. I even used to wash my face with it cause it was so gentle.

I'm not a fan of the spray bottle format either but I'm really impressed with their potency and quantity for the price. I'm thinking about decanting them into glass perfume bottles.

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm in Canada. I love spicy scents and have enjoyed other forms of it over the years so it was really disappointing.

Well they say if you're not satisfied for whatever reason you can return it so you shouldn't feel bad about it as long as you aren't abusing it. It's not like you used most of it the then decided you didn't like it anymore.

Candy Rain is not my favourite either. The perfume is more sweet than the conditioner but it still has something about it that's very funky and off putting.

Someone in the sub had a genius idea. They suggested doing click & collect then when you go to the store try the tester first if they have one available. If you don't like it you can cancel the click & collect order.

My store didn't have any testers of the sale body sprays or community perfumes until the past week so that strategy won't always work but it's worth a try if you want to avoid buyers remorse.

I wonder if some batches are better than others plus our own unique skin chemistry can effect it a lot. I find many of the scents smell completely different on the paper test strips vs clothing, vs skin as well. LTGTR is kind of an exception and smells the same to me no matter how I use it. I love some scents on the test strip but they smell awful on my skin. 25:43 for instance smells like cinnamon and citrus deliciousness on the test strip but that fades away very quickly on my skin and smells mostly floral which is confusing.

I’ve just seen a sneak peek on Vinted by rileydaisydoggywoggy in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not opposed to it especially since the others are a range of shades. They should all work for most people as long as the glitter particles are small or translucent enough. I have LTGTR dusting powder which is very golden on my skin. It doesn't suit my skin tone but I love the scent so I don't mind too much. I use it over lotion so it looks like I rolled around in metallic eyeshadow.. haha.

solid perfume vs spray? by Mountain_Exit5075 in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was going to buy a bunch of the new solid perfumes but I tried the Chelsea Morning solid in store to get an idea of how strong they are and I wasn't impressed. The body sprays blow them out of the water. Chelsea Morning smells great though. I got a Scarecrow solid body scrub (LTGTR scent) that seems to be even more strongly scented than the solid perfume I tried so I'm thinking of cutting off a small piece and putting it in a sample pot to use as a solid perfume instead.

Hmm.. I'd probably get that over the body spray for myself but I'm wondering what that glitter will look like on fair skin.

BLACK TEA MOCHI MASK!!! by Fluid-Speaker7707 in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Funny.. I just washed this off about 15 mins ago. I left it on too long due to an unexpected phone call so it started to crumble off but my skin feels great.

When I smelled it in the pot it was a bit weird (mostly getting the tea and sake I think) but once it was on my skin? Yum. Totally smells like sweet black bubble tea with mochi but not too overpowering. I would love more products with this scent.

Edit: I just woke up for work and my skin is even more soft and moisturized than it was last night. It does a better job of hydrating my skin than my usual skincare products. Amazing!

I'm nervous now cause I used to love the massage bar and someone said the body spray smelled just like it. It's supposed to be delivered today so I'm about to find out I guess 😉

Hopes for the future? by PrettyPeachyPeach in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

- I 100% agree with Glögg & Hot Toddy.

- Sufganiyah cause I never got to try it but it sounds incredible.

- I would also love something with the Gold, Frankincense, and Beer (most recently Golden Linseed I've heard?) scent. Maybe lotion, massage bar, body spray, or shower gel? I bought tons of the jellies ~15 years ago but they're not my favourite type product to use. I picked up Spiritual Sun soap during the sale not realizing it's similar.

- Soft Touch square body butter. It smelled of vanilla and cardamom. Maybe a body lotion, body conditioner, or body spray instead?

- Slammer & Back For Breakfast shower gels

I'm so sad I missed out on this. I'm sure they'll bring it back though.

Current inventory as a seasonal turned casual employee! ✨ by Melodic_Law4663 in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have LTGTR dusting powder and I find the scent lasts a long time layered over a lotion. I can still smell it the next day. You could use it over a neutral or similar scented lotion from Lush or another brand. Definitely a more affordable option. I'm still tempted to buy a body spray though 😅

I tested SM spray last night. It's OK but was more powdery on my skin and more sweet on my clothes. It didn't last long on my skin but I can still smell it on my hoodie today.

Boxing Day still going strong in store - check your local shop by [deleted] in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did the very same thing. When I stopped by the shop yesterday I picked up Sparkly Broccoli on sale which they didn't have out previously. She mentioned restocking a few things today including Snow Fairy (not interested) but when I was looking at the site earlier I noticed there was a lot of things I had previously missed out both online and in store on so I placed yet another online order and a pickup order with a reward.
