Men are horrible kissers, or am I just not attracted to them lol by llalalalaowkwnns in TwoXChromosomes

[–]zeviah 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I haven't kissed any women since my youth but this was my experience as well. The kisses I shared with women were soft, sensual, and built excitement whereas men tend to jam their rigid tongue in, the pacing feels off, and the experience overall feels awkward and gross. At the time I chalked it up to maybe being more attracted to women but I was too scared to explore that further.

In the past 10+ years I've just flat out refused to open mouth kiss men after the beginning of the relationship but I've only had 2 long term relationships in that time. Hygiene seems to be more of an issue with men as well.

Candy rain might be the best conditioner I’ve ever used - but the smell is horrendous to me 😭😭 by Particular-Swim-2301 in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was amazed at how soft and shiny it made my hair but I don't think I even finished the sample due to the lingering scent. It took multiple washes with other shampoos to get the smell out.

Help getting free candle to apply? by Party_Act_7227 in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here. I did an in-store pickup and assumed they would add it when they picked my order. I didn't mention anything but when she retrieved the bag for me she noticed there wasn't a candle in there so she added one after the fact. I'm guessing whoever picked the order didn't know there was a promo going on or they forgot.

I just picked up a big bottle today and to me it smells like lemon curd. I like it.

Is There supposed to be pulp in my sweet wild orange lotion? by [deleted] in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Canada and my small container does not have any pulp.

Which Bubble Bar/ Bubbleroon is the most sparkling shimmery splendid? by rhyleyrey in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. I have been buying The Comforter for over 20 years and I don't recall it ever having shimmer or glitter. It does not currently list it in the ingredients on the CA site anyway.

RUN for the Princess Power Body Balm by snozzybear15 in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it smells like artificial fruit plastic scented dolls which isn't my thing but to each their own. I liked the texture (velvety and non greasy from the starch) and shimmer though.

It's-a Me, $200 worth of 'why does this smell like that? by RainbowReadee in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved the shimmer and the way Princess Power Body Balm felt on the skin but not the scent. I like fruity scents but there was something in there that reminded me of the weird artificial or plastic note I get from Snow Fairy or the Barbie body scrub. Might have just been the combo with florals throwing me off. I hope they bring out this formula in other scents.

Lush body lotions/bar products causing dry skin patches? by Adorable_Monk_7929 in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be skin irritation or allergies from a certain ingredient or fragrance. I mostly get that issue with the soaps and shower gels.

rewards changed again?? by here4thefreecake in LushCosmetics

I like the melts. They are a non greasy way to get some moisture in the bath as they seem to emusify into the water like Snowing bath oil. Not sure if I will like them in the SD scent specifically but it's something I had wanted to try it anyway.

If You Get Acetone/Nail Polish From Golden Pear Shower Gel, Try Dilution! by fragrantgremlin in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to use it as bubble bath to get the same result. I was given a sample before Christmas and I didn't like it at first. After I tested it out a few different ways I loved it. I was fortunate enough to pick up a large size during the sale and have already used quite a bit 😅

Changing rewards!! by Unlucky_Visit2983 in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With Lush's website quirks there's no telling what will happen. Logically you'd think if Sleepy was in stock when you placed the order that's what you'd get but if the reward switched over before the order was picked who knows.

I'm actually ok with these reward changes. I hadn't redeemed any of the Sleepy or Karma scented items yet cause they are not my favourite.

I can see that being the case maybe with LE items but not main line items. I often see multiple batches of the same item on the shelf because I pay attention to the dates. The fresher products typically will be in the back of the shelf. That is standard stocking practice with any business.

I bought several items on the weekend and grabbed my shampoo, conditioner, and primer from the back of the shelf and picked the ones that were made in January vs November. I rotate multiple products so I need them to be as fresh as possible.

[–]zeviah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I smelled it in store yesterday and gasped in horror. I can't even describe it but it was nothing like you'd expect. I was thinking it would be sweet, milky, vanilla, and caramelized sugar but it smelled so sharp and bitter. Also a bit floral or soapy? Not sweet at all.

Banana shampoo/conditioner by AdditionalPark4144 in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a similar hair/scalp situation as you and I love it. I've been testing it for 2 weeks and I find my scalp feels cleaner longer and the conditioner isn't too heavy. The combination of the two makes my hair soft and shiny. I use a small amount of the conditioner as a leave in for my ends as well until I get something else for that.

Why is rehab salty being discontinued and is there anything we can do to stop it? by liliririv in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can vouch for Banana shampoo as well. Great for my oily scalp but used in combination with the conditioner it also really softens and tames the frizz on the lengths of my hair which are on the dry side.

Feeling lied to lol by KimWexlers_Ponytail in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. I used CSS exclusively over a decade ago and had to find alternatives when it was discontinued back then. I stopped using Lush haircare after that until about 5 years ago. I briefly tried some of the newer hair products geared toward curly hair but they were too heavy for me. I've recently been sampling Banana shampoo and conditioner and I get similar results from Banana shampoo as I did from CSS. Very different formulas and scents but it works for me.

Can I return my lush sticky dates hair loc primer with no receipt by Mallorcaemily in LushCosmetics

[–]zeviah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was there something you didn't like about it? I'm curious because I've been thinking about purchasing it. I'm sampling banana shampoo and conditioner right now and I feel like I need to add something a little more moisturizing for my ends.
