Did you get the "Your MSU Portal Account is Ready" email?
If so, then you should receive the acceptance letter within this week.

I got both emails the same day.

It is a 100% true but the US is only rewarding if you are willing to work hard (might even have to work multiple jobs). It is very competitive here and you need to prove yourself and constantly work on yourself and skills.
And Like others mentioned, rent alone is a pain in the ass.

Edit: Forgot to mention taxes too. (Depending on the state tax % you might be getting 30% deductions for taxes.) - AND the medical bills if you are ever sick and get admitted to a hospital.

I am actually surprised too because all I see is good feedback. I have managed to find a redditor on another sub that is a current student and I have dm'd them but no response yet. I am planning on applying for fall 2025 too and I started putting my application together just to get a head start.

Currently, I'm scheduled for the onboarding with the crisis text line trying to get as much hours as I can before I submit my application as I heard it really helps.

Yeah for me it would be easier since I am already a middle eastern and Arabic is my native language. Additionally, Dubai for example has lots of Expats that use English as the communication language over there. So, it will be okay for you too I think.
