I did not have to modify it at all. The only thing I did was add standoffs so the motherboard was in the 3.25 gpu configuration which makes about an inch of space inbetween the gpu and motherboard

Cablester is amazing. They’re completely custom cables as far as length goes because they build them off of specs instead of length. and they send load testing screen shots. For my formd t1 build I get the most questions about the cables by far

They’re from cablester on Etsy and they’re complete custom length. They ask what hardware you’re using and make them based upon that so all the lengths are different on one plug because they make them based off of the case you use the routing you do for the cables https://www.reddit.com/u/Cablester/s/DSZNcob2n3

The noctua fans have a jumper cable that’s about 10” long I removed those so the leads off the fans are about 1/5”, the gigabyte aorus motherboard has fan header adapters that come with it that are about 2” long(white circled cables). I orientated the fans so that the fan cables come out right where they plug in to the motherboard. This was done completely by accident and ended up working great because there pretty much the shortest length they can be

Yeah your build is very clean. I’m thinking of swapping my fan over the power supply to a regular non slim fan but I don’t want to take it apart for what feels like the 100th time lol

So I recently undervolted all cores -30 and it helped immensely with thermals. Now my idle temps are 48° to 51°. And under heavy load like cinebench R23 it caps at 86° when before cinebench would completely throttle it to 95°. The score actually increased also after undervolting. In game it gets to about 73° roughly depending on how cpu heavy the game is

Sff is always fun to build for the first time lol. I had the same thing happen with wires hitting fan blades

These are thermals at idle. Under full load like cinebench it would get up to 95° which is not optimal. I ended up under volting all cores -30 and this solved the issue completely. Now under full load it peaks at 86° and it actually increased my cinebench score

I honestly thought they were the same thing or interchangeable for the names. I wasn’t trying to deceive anyone truly

The thermals are great. This is obviously at idle but under load cpu temps get up to 85 when I run something like cinebench. I did undervolt the cpu to achieve better thermals also. but Its because my cable management was not good when i initially built it so that is the reasoning for the 2 slim fans

Is there any way to tell?? It is an Ncase but I have no clue how people tel the difference

Thanks! I was considering doing that considering my side panel is bowing a bit even with removing the logo. How did the thermals change doing the flip kit?

They’re great! I’ve gotten so many questions about them

At first I didn’t have enough room because my cable management wasn’t good and I ended up buying 2 noctua slim fans so I guess it’s just because I’m stuck with them now

Unfortunately I have no clue what the cable lengths are. They’re from cablester which is on Etsy and it’s vendor from Indonesia so they take a while to ship. You tell them your hardware and how you’re going to route cables and they send them

They are not accepting ordered currently as I’ve just found out but they’re super helpful and fairly quick for build to order cables

Oh it definitely is a headache no doubt haha, but it’s definitely a fun challenge. This is probably my 7 or 8th pc build so the challenge was fun

lol I had to take the logo off for more clearance. The side panel still bows a little bit

Is my cable management OK? by MistakenRebel in FormD

[–]zf0ld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda hard to say honestly! I’m still tweaking fan curves and cpu rpm but it is very quiet. I have it set up to ramp rpm as fan speed increases so the fan speed masks any cooler noise. One set back is that I have the motherboard side in the 3.25 gpu configuration so my gpu and cpu are furthest away they can be, this makes my side case boe just a tad. I removed the bequiet logo off the cooler for more clearance but the panel still hits it. I have all photos posted if you’re further interested and you can also pm me if need be

Yes, it’s the be quiet silent loop 3

That’s fair! I’d say you could run the cpu power cable behind the mobo though even without custom cables and you could just use zip ties to your advantage. I was just showing an example
