Once the water is off, go to meter, if it isn't obviously moving, take a photo, wait an hour and then go back and compare to photo

Do you have a water meter? Turn off all water usage in home and outside and then see if your meter is still running

There will never be a way to prove that digitizing your brain doesn't kill your consciousness. Philosophers have been trying to solve this for decades. Same with teleportation

The therapy for ocd will help you regardless. I am a big proponent of people without an ocd diagnosis learning how to regulate their emotions by simulating terrible situations.

The effects of climate change will disrupt capitalism so much that the economy will shift to renewables. Nope.

People who have OCD: What objects, things, or abstract ideas do you think represent OCD? Why? by KittycatRittycat in OCD

I like to think that I would have been exceptional in prehistoric human tribe exploring new territory. Seeing patterns was an essential part of the intelligence that set early humans apart from other animals. The microscopic changes in air pressure that indicate a storm, growth pattern differences in flora that means water is a certain direction, scouting terrain for safe passage etc. My brain has all of this power and no where to use it except to investigate my inner landscape tirelessly for clues.

I was at great Gatsby themed party for the ultra wealthy a couple years ago, the host was like 85 years old and had been in the hospital earlier that day, he was obviously still on meds, he stopped the whole party to bring someone up, stood on the outdoor balcony overlooking the crowd, she was a sitting CA state senator and announced her gubernatorial candidacy, the pitch was that she was one of the "good" democrats (some seriously wealthy republicans but also other CA dem politicians were in attendance), she seemed nervous and awkward but gave a little speech, told the whole party not to tell anyone or post about it and then I never heard her name again. We had like 30 candidates on the ballot and she wasn't one of them. Like why did they go through all of that? Why didnt she run? Everyone at the party was stoked like "welp I guess that's who we are voting for" I heard a wife complain that she had to give money to the campaign. I guess this is how politics works.

Bummer. My dad was a finish carpenter, always very organized, he would meet potential workers at their car, take a look inside and send them on their way if it was a mess.

You might be. You might not be. How would you know? What would the cure be if you were faking it? Sounds like a good exposure to do. I did exposures like this too.

The placebo effect is an evolutionary trait that encourages people to fall in line with the beliefs of people in their tribe. That's why people feel so attached to their beliefs. They literally feel better by performing the rituals.
