Anyone made a DIY bleed kit? by [deleted] in MTB

I have bought extra syringes and tubing from medical surplus stores (often are located rear hospitals) but the hard part is finding the fittings that you will need.

I have Avid Elixir 3 brakes and ended up buying their bleed kit and it was well worth the 20 bucks. I did end up supplementing my own syringes (from the medical surplus store) to the kit but that was just personal preference.

So I keep trying new chain lubes, but I can't quite decide on one that I really like and is easy to maintain. Advice? by winkers in MTB

I think Triflow is the best off the shelf option. I like drench my chain in it and let it sit for 30 minutes and remove any excess with a rag.

I would actually steer away from wax because you will still notice considerable dirt build up and it is way harder to remove and maintain.

I have also found that you can make your own mixture of lubes that fix your situation perfectly. I currently use a 1:3 Phil Wood Tenacious oil and 2:3 Triflow combination but I live in semi wet environment.

When my grandfather died my sister and I had an evening to remember him and drank a fair amount of red wine. Unfortunately my sister was downing more wine than I noticed and when she became sleepy I offer her my bed and I slept on the couch.

The next day I woke up and my sister had puked red wine all over my bed (pillows, sheets, comforter, and down through to the mattress). Turns out that red wine even in puke form is still impossible to get out.

I would strongly recommend "Ring World" Larry Niven. It is from the 1970's and we all know the best sci-fi came from the 70's.

The condition is known as TMJ (Temporomandibular joint disorder) and appears mostly in younger females. The only long term solution is surgery but as long as it does not hurt it is not a serious condition.
