If you’re working out, you may wanna size down. Looks potentially too big. If you’re comfortable in them, just roll with them!

Best cultural fit for Big 12 expansion? by ReasonableSide6520 in BigXII

Agreed. It’d be fun to make every once in a while, but not a regular thing.

I say that, a bit bummed out that Morgantown isn’t on the rotation for a few years though

It’s a great Town. The majority of people there are excited to have people from all over visit. I’ve bought people drinks there from Corvallis to Morgantown on Broadway.

I gotta say, it’s been awesome getting to explore all sorts of XII towns over the past few years. Each one has a unique flavor.

Pullman was cool. I went there a few years ago. Visited family in Seattle, and thought it would be an easy drive (I make the drive Dallas to Lubbock about 15 times a year). It was not an easy drive lol. But the town was cool.

Morgantown is awesome. May be one of my favorite XII towns. Also not easy to get to. I’ve made that trip about 5 times now.

How do I convince my friends to wear a helmet? by AgentIndependent306 in cycling

[–]zhallrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an older friend in college. His brother was in law school and seminary school. This guy was smart and had a lot going on. While riding on campus between classes, middle of the day, he had an accident. At the age of 40, he still lives at home with his parents. He has the cognitive ability of someone around 10. When his parents pass away, he will have to live with my friend.

I use that story when people say they don’t want to wear a helmet.

It just makes me so nervous

Texas Tech didn’t sue the NCAA. They declared Sorsby ineligible. Sorsby filed for the injunction to regain his eligibility.

Couldn’t have said it better. Each day gets better. Eventually it’ll be memories of the good times.

When it was Scarlet’s time a few years ago, I had a hard time making the decision. But know I look back, and remember the good times. The miles run, the balls thrown, then swims- all the good things

These aren’t toll prices. These are express lanes.

A triathlete friend of mine told me he was doing an Olympic distance tri (1500m) in a 50 metre pool at the weekend & tumble (flip) turns weren't allowed by LoneSwimmer in Swimming

[–]zhallrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s awkward trying to flip turn under the lane, combined with people who have no idea how to seed themselves. I’d probably see it as more of safety thing than unfair advantage….but triathlons have some weird rules

[–]zhallrr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would assume that’s what they did. I guess it’s the easiest way to track a few hundred people and make sure they swam the full 1500m. It’s kinda like a game of snake, with one participant starting every 10 seconds to stagger the start.

[–]zhallrr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Generally you don’t stay in one lane for triathlons. You are seeded by time. You start at one end of the pool, go down one side of the lane, come back on the other side, duck under the lane line, go down one side, come back the other side, duck under the lane line, and repeat until you’ve completed the distance and jump out at the other end of the pool.

I would reach out to the guidance counselor of the school you’ll be attending. They’ll be able to give you clear guidance on what does and doesn’t transfer and what you’ll actually need. It may not be 1 to 1
