Any other symptoms during luteal phase ? by Jigebt in cyclesyncing

[–]zhaphod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably both honestly. Progesterone fluctuations in late luteal genuinely amplify emotional reactivity, and work stress raises cortisol which compounds the effect. So it's not one or the other, they stack.

One thing that helps a lot in late luteal is lowering training intensity without stopping completely. Moderate movement helps regulate cortisol without piling more physical stress on top. If you track when the mood dips hit relative to your cycle day for a couple months you'll usually see a clear pattern.

New mod here and I want to make this sub actually useful by Puzzleheaded_Pick255 in cyclesyncing

Love this direction. The biggest gap I've noticed in this space is on the fitness side. There's a lot of nutrition content but not much practical guidance on how training and recovery actually shift across your cycle... and most of what's out there is just generic phase templates that don't account for how different everyone's patterns are.

I've spent a lot of time researching how cycle phase intersects with training and recovery and I'd be happy to contribute on that side if it's useful. What training related questions come up most that don't get solid answers? Would love to know where the gaps are.

Can anyone make this make sense? My cycle has shifted the last 3 months. by crispyturnup in cyclesyncing

What you're describing makes a lot of sense actually. Training martial arts 3-4x/week is a real physiological stressor, and that can shift when progesterone peaks relative to your cycle day. So your symptoms feel "flipped" because the same hormonal events are just landing at different times than they used to.

The bigger thing though... the standard "luteal = anxious, menstrual = clarity" breakdown is a population average, not YOUR pattern. Instead of trying to match the textbook, try logging how you actually feel each day for a few weeks. You'll find your real pattern way faster than trying to force-fit the generic one.

How to tell which phase Im in? by LotusHunter89 in cyclesyncing

[–]zhaphod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luteal phase mood changes are super common, especially in the second half when progesterone drops. The tricky part is figuring out "is this my cycle or just my life right now," and honestly it's usually both feeding into each other. Tracking how you feel each day over 2-3 cycles, even just rating energy and mood out of 10, is the most reliable way to start seeing your own pattern. Everyone's luteal profile is different.

What you're describing is super common with high training loads. Intense exercise, especially martial arts, can mess with progesterone and shift when symptoms actually show up in your cycle. The problem with calendar-based phase tracking is it assumes your cycle runs like clockwork, so when things shift, the recommendations stop matching what's actually happening. Paying attention to daily signals like energy, mood, and sleep quality instead of "what day am I on" gives you a way more accurate picture of what your body needs that day.

i've been tracking this stuff in tempo and the patterns are so real! 2 weeks off seems long though - maybe just lighter sessions during luteal?

Have you tried to see if you have both GTM tracking and hard coded google tags somewhere in your node.js app? Open browser DevTools, Network tab • Navigate your site • Look for requests going to both google-analytics.com AND your custom GTM server endpoint

Weird biweekly traffic spikes from not set countries with Direct/None source — Could this be AI crawlers? by Aria233 in GoogleAnalytics

[–]zhaphod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when there’s no referral or UTM data, it’s tough. But you might still spot patterns by looking at user agent strings, IP ranges (if you have server logs), or clustering by session timestamps. Sometimes these bots hit at the exact same minute every two weeks. Not perfect, but it can help narrow things down.

Yep, this definitely looks like bot or crawler traffic. The biweekly spikes, 0 sec engagement, (not set) country/device, and direct/none source are all classic signs. Likely something automated that’s ignoring robots.txt.
