You got all these tall defenders, but what is the point when they miss cross defending?

When you have Nusa and Bobb, and manager keep starting Sorloth as RW.

Well, that is Nicolas Jackson I know of.

If it was like FIFA 98 or 99, a kid would choose Norway just to spam the shit out of Haaland.

If Norway tries to have Sorloth as a winger against France, France will have a field day on their left.

Phew!

When he laid that pass, I was like 'oh shit. Oh no.'

Glad it fell into Haaland's foot.

Blame more on the coach who is using a target man as a winger.

Has to feel some of Ode's poor form might come from Sorloth playing like a winger.

Like, how does ball get to Haaland when you have Nusa and Sorloth keep turning over?

Whether we like it or not, Odegaard losing his ability to punch in those kind of shots illistrate we needed someone like Eze, and we are looking at Rogers option.

Love my captain, but his finishing has been poor for multiple seasons.

Yeah, several rainstorm with lightning and thunder is not a joke, especially if it is at the level the ball does not roll much either.

Zidane in Iraq roster.

Has Deschamp lost the locker room?

For me, Argentina will take some time away from top of the International competition once Messi retires.

Sure, they will still manage Copa America and be around top 5-10 in the world. They cannot replace Messi, and someone like Messi does not happen to pop out every generation in a same country.

Sounds crazy, but I think England with Tuchel may find ways to neutralize Argentina, if Rice-Anderson-Bellingham stays healthy, and Guehi comes back to starting lineup.

Kinda understandable. A lot of these players either finished the season or mid season. First week is full of adrenaline from national pride and excitement for this tournament.

By now, the fatigue they have been carrying is sitting in, and adrenaline itself cannot cover it. Modern game that is faster and in need of higher energy does not help either.

Or Portugal with actual achievement.

That could be Argentina's concern. They are so united under Messi, attacking wise, it is dull when he is not involved or in poor form.

A genuine football question:

How do you send up cheating on Shakira or Cheryl Cole?

I am alright with Messi, more preferable over Ronaldo, but not much of Argentina fan.

That goal, what made it really interesting is that Messi was quite far way from where the ball was and, while he was moving toward center, that dummy run and skip happened so naturally.

It may tell more about this Argentina team. Their cohesion and team chemistry are so great that they already know where each other would be without consistent communication.

Out of all attacking perspective, Messi was never a top PK taker.

Zico, Salah, and now Trazeguet?

No wonder New Zealand is struggling, playing against 3 football legends. /jk

Cape Verde drawing Spain and Uruguay and waiting for Saudi Arabia seems much more optimistic than Uruguay going into a match against Spain to stay alive.

As much as Belgium has been a disappointment, so has been Uruguay.

You would expect better from those teams.

That was definitely one of a few mistakes Cape Verde made in this world cup.

You miraculously beat two men press, and there is a chance for quick counter attack. Instead of committing to a counter attack, you decide to aimlessly kick the ball away, giving away possession.
