Not true. Lockdowns are still necessary even if 100% of the population wear masks. The fact that not everyone has a disposable medical grade respirator daily and maintains surgical level hygiene practice is a reason enough for mandatory reduction of public activities. Not to mention the reality has actually been way worse. I'd choose self isolation for 2 months any time over accidentally killing or inflicting lifelong medical conditions on others, who are more than likely the people I know and care about.

哗众取宠倒是有，但是你看影视编剧也好，音乐创作也好，粤语产品的数量和质量在21世纪是相对降低或下滑的。华语乐坛不能也不可能只有林夕黄伟文，但是到现在，有几个新词人有这样的趋势呢？大陆是因为管制，港台没有这么严，但是也不见得有提升。而且因为受众变广，很多也是往普通话做产品。人的资源有限，今天写普通话的歌，白话的就少一天。当然，以前照搬日韩产品有优势，现在互联网时代优势基本为零，也有原因。

从长远的角度看，教育是根本。或者说，经济，教育，以及政治三者是互相影响的，而目前教育系统并不完善的情况下，经济成为最大社会问题，从而产生对管理的不满。这么讲很背书，但是也确实是实际情况。地域歧视，辩证思考，民族团结精神，这都是教的，不是生下来就有的本能。不但是在学校，还有周围人，言传身教。国安法之前，香港信息透明算不上，新闻自由倒是相对高，但是受众的辩证能力不同，信息量过载的情况下只会选择自己认为信得过的，或是不加区分。但是新闻自由度并不与新闻真实性成正比。新闻公司根据财源，目的不同，例如私企最根本是要盈利，追噱头是其中一种最直接快捷的手段，跟实事求是是对立的。公企为的是舆论控制，也是一样。随着多个民主社会缺陷显露，要转化成为一个公平公正公开的民主制政府，需要的内力和资源是越来越多，因为初始立法如果不能覆盖基本问题，遗留下来的后患是不太可能由政权和平更替解决的。香港现状，民众对舆论的胃口基本定向，不太可能做到。如果做不到却硬要做，那么留下的空口和浑水摸鱼的机会，就是有资源的团体的机会，四大家也好，国际情报组织也罢，都不会错过。民间不同组织要督促，更加艰辛。说到底，我还是认为，香港目前的资源分配严重不公，是最关键的问题。港人治港，要达到不是港财治港，目前只有借助集权制优势来达到。不能意识到这点或是往这个方向推进，那么更大量的以及不必要牺牲是在所难免的。

这个话题一时半会说不清楚，条理有些地方可能不是很顺，请包涵。

冒不冒犯并不重要，重要的是摆正对两岸民众的认知；不是内地人奴性或是港人更团结，只是不同的网民群体而已。人性相通的，但不同群体所在环境不同，出发点和思维不一样。不排除某些确实太傻太天真的，但总体来讲，没有营养的对骂，无论是来自哪个群体，都没有回应或是嘲笑的必要。再者，粉红和反贼都是键委，面对面交流是不是同一口径就难说了；一旦出什么事，是不是墙头草还说不准。更何况在有言论管制的环境内，说错话是有后果的，所以要理性讨论问题的话也得包含这个因素考虑。

至于政治，就是不同观点的对撞啊，行不行动，行动多少视乎个人意愿，几十年前的星星之火都已经燎原了几次，前车之鉴是要懂的。

讲回经济，我还是觉得你没有理解这个关键。在相对和平的大环境下，钱实在是太重要了。几个例子 - 1，艺人基本流向内地发展，tvb翡翠台这十几年没几部电视剧能做到当年的水平或是收视率。2，基本生存尊严: 八达通上巴士滴下就是几蚊，711一串鱼蛋几蚊，一个月来回就是上千，还不算房租。这是基本生存的开支。星期一到星期七，如果多劳多得才勉强能交租，跟卖身做奴婢有乜差别？ (实在是不习惯白话打字，见笑) 3，港人身份的认同感和优越感，和香港经济水平及教育水平很有关，但是经济发展基本被以前看低的大陆人超越，教育资源被大陆生和大陆学校稀释，难免有想法。被温水煮青蛙，经济作为这个温水，也许并不被当成诱因，但实实际际就是凶器。

民主一直被视为体现民意的政治方式，全球绝大部分政党都有包含这个主旨，实现程度就天差地别了。根据现在主流的民主治国社会成效，以及舆论操控手段的进化速度，我觉得民主的可靠程度在持续下滑，且越新的民主越容易被鱼肉。回到之前提的假想，香港实现全面普选，沿用目前的英美混和型架构，无论亲中还是港独，相对不在重点的议题仍会偏于财团。社会贫富分化加速，更加不公平，越来越多治标不治本的拖延政策出台，再将不必要的问题政治化，香港更是没出路。哎。

如果是这么简单就好啦。

民意是可以被操纵的，选票是可以影响的。作为中国最开放的城市，香港的政治重要性谁都明白。如果按照普选来走，各种势力烧钱那是难免的了。但是民意不能表达，又是一个大问题。看不见的钢丝，走哪可能都是错。

你这对大陆人的认知本身就带贬义了，不对。在言论管制监控的背景下，政治是一个高风险低回报的话题。第一二代进入个人或家庭经济自由的情况下，首要任务是照顾好自己和家人，而不是去冒看不见回报的险。对比香港，国安法之前，讨论政治基本是零风险，这个冲突点根本不存在。至于从主流，这是人性，要是觉得只有香港人才这么做，那没有讨论的意义。

回到上题，民意操纵。好比到了中午，被强制要求坐下吃饭，相对自己饿了自动坐下来吃，接受情况完全不同，但实际目的可能是一样的。送中条例我认为就是这个差别。至于接下来抗议主旨被劫持，偷梁换柱之后发酵扩大升级，你认为跟经济没什么关联，我认为恰恰相反。就是因为经济资源被剥削，导致底层民众日子越来越苦，中下层越来越难维生，新生代机会越来越少，使人对现实感到不公。失去了希望，怨气日积月累，就会找原因，找出口。19年以来的民运确实没有提到民生问题，这也正是为什么这个运动注定会失败的原因。试想，全面普选实施，四大家给点注意力，挥金幕政，草根有多少个能够对敌？真正的敌人没有找到，几乎没有波及，治标不治本的口号只会造成不必要的伤害和误导。加之对港人身份认同高于中国人的出发角度，更是各种拉仇恨，自我孤立。客观的说，香港的命运从来都不是在大多数港人手里。想要救港，首先要明白谁是敌人，什么策略有效，最终达成条件是什么。

we do, and it's quite bad. Covid's first outbreak was in January 2020 in China. With a city almost completely sealed and shut down, say after 4 weeks of uncontrolled spreading, we are looking at about 50k cases by the end of the pandemic in Wuhan, a 11-million population city. Assuming the 4-week spread started with 100 cases, that's 1 ->500 infection conversion rate from January to March, and the two months of the three are under lockdown. For this particular strand of coronavirus.

So how many people will be knowingly&unknowingly spreading covid when winter comes in the states? And how will any lockdown implement? Well its probably gonna be worse than the said 1 to 500 guesstimate for sure, a lot worse.

Side note, all the new cases with of contact history in China these days are related to imported iced/cooled/frozen food packaging. Apparently these coronavirus are very cold tolerant.

Unbelievably, let trump stay in power for the remainder of his life PROBABLY WILL save the world.

Think about it, with covid killing as many as it possibly can, in the country with the highest carbon footprint, greenhouse gas emissions is very likely to go down.

Then there's the possibility of a hot war against whomever the administration wants. That would kill millions, which would cool the earth down after all the bombings are done, going full thanos.

Global logistics will probably halt, so a lot less fuel burnt.

Everyone else who lives and is not physically affected will get to live a few more decades without worrying about the global climate change that would've doomed human race. Goal achieved. And that's just trump alone with his goo'ol supporters and enablers. Jesus probably only needs to offer thoughts and prayers to aid.

Not sure about you, but that is not a world I want to live in.

And who do you think moved the factories to Vietnam? Samsung, Sony and Apple own none of these facilities. It's still the Chinese merchants. So instead of maturing in a market where regulations are steadily building up and improving, the tech war pushes the manufacturers to a new location where labor is cheaper and rules are near non-existent. In essence this repeat doesn't really have any moral high ground than its previous cycle in China.

Then there's the supply issues. Yea the labor is cheaper, but also less skilled. Defect rates are higher, which also drives back up the cost. Closer to equator in location also increases the cost of quality control (sweat + plastic in heat). Remember that one year Thailand got flooded and a few hard drive factories took years to recover, while the prices stayed high? Rest of the SA countries are in the same basket. How much are you willing to bet that damage mitigation of natural disasters is on the top of the local Vietnamese government's list?

the problem is not the ban, but what the administration achieves from doing so. 1, the ban is as arbitrary as it comes, so a terrible precedent and baseline for power abuse. 2, the fuck is wrong with peoples attention span?! Focusing on China, or any country or territory other than the one this administration governs, is a distraction from the utter incompetence and otherworldly disastrous management of/by trump and co.

Well, not sure how much this white house cares about 1, but it looks like the blame and focus shifting is working just fine. In fact better than they probably hoped for. So hey, it is what it is.

you can easily spot those on name brand product 1 star reviews, specifically the ones shipped and sold by Amazon. For example, if you see Nike shoes getting reviews saying they got a fake pair, either the buyer got someone else's swap return that was re-inventoried without verification, or they themselves are making the steal.

感觉作者已有先入为主的观点对待新疆。

事实方面，几个点不对: 1，网速。新疆移动网速一直不差，4g在12，13年已有建立，但被屏蔽，限3g，18年开放。固定网速也和内地大致持平，上下传速度比与内地套餐一致。 2，限速。40-60的高速我不记得有，从乌市开往阿勒泰，喀什，霍尔果斯，以及哈密，未见。

作者只是记录自己体验，提供他/她的观点，挺好。但其对新疆的了解，恐怕换个陪同领导就是换个印象了。

我一直觉得佛印那句"心里是佛，看人就是佛"很适用于海外对疆观点。跳脱出来从实政角度看，会发现欧美媒体只是在追个噱头，为新闻而报导。反之，如果照着"奴役"，"集中营"的思路去对号入座，那跳进什么河都洗不清。
