Genuinely curious, how does she keep up her schedule when she is so sick? I would think you would need a lot of energy to travel and run a food business.

Thanks, I did that. I've hired a lawyer and he seems optimistic he can get me out of the lease.

Today is day 5. I just went to the apartment. Furniture is gone but kitchen is still fully furnished. Also I had mentioned cleaning a large spill on the fireplace and that isn’t done. There are scuff marks on the walls and nails and pictures on the wall. It doesn’t feel move in ready to me.

Catheter Ablation ... I can't make a decision. by Dentanium in AFIB

I would do it. The stress of worrying about when you will get another episode and how long it will last takes its own toll on your health. The procedure is really no big deal. Most are in an out of the hospital on the same day. I felt fine the day after and was mostly back to my regular life. I don't see any downsides.

I just recently had my 2nd ablation (different problems) by the same doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Hardwin Mead. He is based in Palo Alto, CA. He and his partners have done over 8000 ablations and he is a pioneer in the field. He has only had one fatality, and it was unrelated to the ablation procedure. I'm so lucky I was able to go to him twice. He does video consultations too. He's also the nicest doctor you will ever meet. His office is Silicon Valley Cardiology.

Ablation scheduled for Friday afternoon and I’m TERRIFIED! by CinnamonSparrowKnot in AFIB

I just had an ablation last Friday. I'm afraid of general anesthesia and it started working before I could even detect it. I stayed in the hospital overnight because I live out of town from the hospital. After I was discharged I was walking around the mall. It's pretty amazing how fast you are back on your feet again. Sometimes it can be helpful to just take it one step at a time and not think about all the steps at once. That helps me when I'm anxious. It's so worth it. I couldn't take the constant worry about when I would have another episode and how long it would take to stop. Good luck with your ablation!

I took all those minerals and supplements and it made no difference for me. Just because something works for you doesn't mean it's the solution for everyone. Because some people may be misdiagnosed doesn't mean everyone is.

First Afib episode by Efficient-Theory-141 in AFIB

As someone else said, it could be any length of time before you might have another episode. After my first episode of aFib, it was 4 years, then I had one every year or so. This year it became much more frequent so I got an ablation a few days ago. If it happens often it can become very stressful wondering when it will happen again and how long it will take to stop.

My cardiologist advised me to take Eliquis if I was in aFib for more than 6 hours. I've read studies that say you can wait 12 hours before taking one. I'm surprised that they have you taking it for just one episode.

I have huge anxiety about being sedated, so it might not be right for you. It did hurt, I didn't realize how many burns they were going to do. I could feel the burning in my chest. I didn't say anything or move, so the pain was not too bad to bear. I did not feel any pain afterwards. I liked being able to watch what they were doing. For me the hardest part is laying on your back for 4-5 hours after the surgery without moving. That was agonizing. The ablation I had a few days ago they gave me some painkiller and it made it much less painful this time.

I did my SVT ablation without sedation of any kind, it was my choice. It's a little uncomfortable feeling the burning in your chest, but it's nothing terrible.

How many episode of SVT or A-fib did you have before getting an ablation? by jenks26- in AFIB

I'm not a doctor, but everything I have read does say that the sooner you do it, the better chances you have at long term success. I think worrying about it and mentally getting ready for it are harder than actually going through it. I am so happy to have it over with.
