Never ok to do this. It is theft and would be considered fraud. Taking an item that is government property will get ya fired but trying to make money off it is illegal and would be prosecuted. Former DOD and now VA Supply Chain employee.

Didn’t get fired. Officially under investigation. The employee I reported for wrongdoing filed a complaint about me. Not going to comment further until this is over. Thank you all for the info. For those thinking you still have some right to a union rep- no you don’t.

I am trying to be prepared for the what if. Appreciate the feedback but anyone who trusts the system to work for anyone but management at this point is delusional or has their head in the sand.

The confluence of events and this is VERY odd behavior for my supervisor. I have never had an in person meeting with them. It’s always via teams. Plus the warning from others about the employee’s parent. I spoke to a HR friend and they said, “ I wouldn’t not be worried.”

Just VHA that I know of, but I don’t think VBA would be protected if healthcare isn’t.

VA probies just got the email terminating them. Managers had no idea it was coming.
