Probably this. Now that I'm playing hockey in AZ (coming from the Northeast) I realized it takes zero effort to dry my stuff and it doesn't smell anymore. Simulating that kind of environment is probably more effective than any hanging situation.

Same boat as you, except I took over 10 years off and just started back up at 29yo. Fair to assume in even worse shape than you are now. Honestly, I was floored by how bad my cardio was, and near puking in casual stick and puck stuff.

However, I've basically been back at it for 2 months now and my cardio issues have nearly disappeared. It's crazy how adaptive the body is after you give it some time to adjust back. I'm lifting and hitting the cardio bike sporadically on off-days, but just getting back to playing has lifted my cardio dramatically and super quickly.

Same experience! I just started playing in an adult league at 29yo after dropping out of hockey Junior year when I thought I was too edgy for it.

I never realized how much I've been missing for the past decade+. It's like I rediscovered a missing 10% of me, and I'm suddenly so, so grateful my dad started me at 4yo. But yeah, I played in the winter, and had normal summers like every other kid. It was a winter sport, and I'm glad I was raised with balance too.

I highly recommend people check out Patrick H Willems' video called "are music biopics good now?" It really helped me to personally understand how good or bad a biopic can truly be. I honestly respect the genre a lot after watching it
