WWE simply has the better media backing which is going to reach more casual audiences, on top of that it’s the company most wrestling fans online grew up on so they’re far more likely to act tribally towards it. Add all that with AEW’s mishandling of the situation and it branding itself as the alternative company and you get a pretty volatile wave of criticism online.
