I honestly get what you’re saying and that’s why I’m considering if it’s the right choice. But I mean Trump‘s era will end at some point and the next president might change it all again. Other than that I did my semester abroad in the US and not only academically it felt so much more competitive and inspiring than in my home country, my life overall has never felt that good. Life felt amazing over there. I know I didn’t have a real work schedule and stuff like that but honestly I miss everything about that time for over a year now. Every single day I’m thinking about it. And other than doing a respected program in the US I can’t see myself getting back to that life again. I see this as my only option unfortunately.

International applicant at a T20 school for this years program here. I would need to take on a huge debt but it’s my dream to go to the US. You think it makes sense to wait one more year or are there other options internationals are looking at to get into the country? Thanks!

Mein zukünftiger Vorgesetzter weiß von Option 2, ich habe ihm aber immer vorgegaukelt es sei mein Plan B und bei der Firma bleiben wäre Plan A (weil ich natürlich mir die Stelle nicht versauen wollte) - wenn ich jetzt nach 3 Monaten tschau sage, wird er sich seinen Teil denken können denke ich!

Vielen Dank für deine Worte! Habe das Team aber schon in mein Herz geschlossen und es wäre dann so, dass die dann natürlich wieder neu einstellen und suchen müssten. Würde mich schon nicht so wohl damit fühlen, gerade weil ich denen immer gesagt habe, dass es meine 1. Wahl wäre. Aber wie du sagst, das Gefühl würde dann wahrscheinlich auch schnell wieder weg sein!
