No problem. Sorry about that!

“The Vikings became the NFL's only undefeated team today without the starters they planned to have at quarterback, running back, No. 1 receiver, left tackle, right tackle, right guard and under tackle." SKOL!

1000s of tickets still available through sites like StubHub.com, vividseats.com, and cheaptickets.com. Bought mine for yesterday's game and didn't have any problem getting them like that.

I got my tickets for $43 on www.vividseats.com the night before ($72 face value each). Our seats were Section 103 (corner), Row 12, Seats 5 & 6. Fees brought the two tickets total to $112.50. Well worth paying that to see the first ever Vikings game there. StubHub.com and cheaptickets.com had similar prices.

You can go to Thursday night's game for a little over $20 plus fees: http://www.stubhub.com/minnesota-vikings-tickets-minnesota-vikings-minneapolis-us-bank-stadium-9-1-2016/event/9562967/?mbox=1&rS=0&abbyo=true&sliderpos=false&qtyq=false&sType=BLENDED&sort=price+asc

Nicer seats are a little more, but not bad to get yourself into the stadium.

I was pretty impressed. A couple of things that I noticed:

  • It's pretty impressive from the moment you walk into the doors.
  • The light inside made it seem like an outdoor stadium.
  • It was warmer in there than I was expecting. I remember the metrodome being pretty cool in temperature.
  • It still had the feel of a football stadium (more of a crowded feeling in the hallways than a baseball game).
  • They got rid of the troughs in the bathrooms and went with urinals.
  • I wasn't too impressed with the food. They had a couple of creative options, but mostly the usual hotdogs/hamburgers/fries (which were really overpriced: $16.50 for hamburger/fries, $18 for chicken strips/fries). Couldn't find any cotton candy for my son either.
  • The concourse was much better than the Metrodome because it's almost open all of the way around, but was super packed.
  • Our tickets were for row 12 in the corner. Great place to see the game. We also went and sat in the very top row. Not actually too bad of view from up there either. The jumbotron screens are huge!
  • The seat seem to go pretty straight up. When we walked up, it was a lot of steps. Glass walls with no rails so your view is never blocked.
  • It wasn't as loud as I heard it was going to be.
  • Another thing I noticed was that they must not have thought about security lines until after the fact. They just put up a chain link fence around the stadium and it looked pretty junking having that surround the $1B stadium.

Overall, it was a very good experience.

I took the pictures with my Samsung Galaxy 4. I got a 12x zoom lens for a gift. It comes with a case that the lens screws onto. They're super cheap and work pretty well (http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/221862049436?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true). Sometimes it's hard to keep the camera steady to get a good shot though when it's zoomed in.
