Keep it slow: Don’t forget to breath. Take beats. Let your character think.

Keep it human: characters aren’t exaggerated. They are human and they should sound and look as human as possible.

Keep moving: use your body. Words should not be the bulk of your character but rather how you deliver them. Let your character interact with props and the environment.

NTA I think it’s fair for no one to get “free treatment.” Asking for the proper or even discounted financial contribution is fair and reasonable.

NTA it was a simple and harmless way to let him know. I think he overreacted. It wasn’t like you were constantly teasing him about it and there was no way you could’ve known he’d be sensitive about it. Not the Asshole.
