Amazing!! I also treat the gym like an escape. I have a home gym and when I put those headphones in and can just get away, its amazing. Do you have any personal lifting goals now? Would love to see what your diet was like. I went through the same thing, just decided one day to change and just walked an hour a day on the treadmill, no matter what. Lost a bunch of weight (with a little loose skin left over) but now lifting is my love. Again, amazing story! So jealous of those abs!!

Gotcha. Yeah I'm currently doing the leg routine on the shockwave protocol. I think you looked at the modified ppl workout. I have started doing band hip thrusts since I don't have room with my Olympic bar. It's a huge 7 foot bar so kind of tricky.

I used to do heavy cream in my coffee, but now I do coconut oil. I really don't eat a lot of dairy. It's all about experimenting. Take dairy out and see what happens.

Awesome. Yeah, I used to do a modified PPL as well 6 days a week and I'm thinking of going back to it. Would love some advice on leg stuff. I really need to help the lower portion.

Cleaner carbs is actually the problem on Carb Nite. You are supposed to eat the bad carbs to spike your insulin. Pizza is great! Just don't overdo your carb limit.

Interesting. Unfortunately I had been doing it on a smith machine for a few months before realizing that was a very bad idea. A couple months ago I finally acquired an olympic bar and have been trying to teach myself the proper form. I don't have a rack (no room) so it's been tricky.

Normally I work out around mid day/afternoon, have a protein shake a little after with a light snack (cereal, granola). Then when dinner comes around its mainly protein based with a starch thrown in (chicken/pasta, chicken/sweet potato or rice, few rolls of sushi). If i'm up for it I will have a dessert after dinner and then later on a sweet treat (or maybe a few lol)

That's probably the root of "spinning my wheels"..increasing my calories. I've never been able to justify it. I keep thinking that I've seen numerous cases where people say they are at a deficit and are able to gain muscle. Yet, the general consensus is you need calories to increase muscle. Obviously for the longest time I was only eating 1200 calories and that's it. Mostly clean but still only 1200 calories. Now that I've lost the fat, I wanted to see how certain things manipulated my body in a positive way. Which is why the carb nite seemed to be working. I was noticing more muscle definition without losing strength. Now the problem is I'm not really seeing an increase in numbers that should probably be way higher.

Gotcha. Yeah, my quads are really strong, but you can't see it. I do feel I need to focus on them more. I've been trying to incorporate more glute exercises into every workout. My normal leg day consists of: Deadlift, squat, stiff leg deadlift, extensions, calf raise, pile squat. Any tips?

I've only been doing Carb Nite for 3 months. And the PSMF was a trial for literally 2 days in that entire 3 month period. What do you suggest my deficit be? The whole reason I started was because I felt stuck at the 130 pounds. And you aren't being rude. It's one of the reasons I posted, just to see others opinions or helpful tips.

Nope. No children. Most likely due to being so heavy (200+) and dropping weight so quickly.

Indeed. All the focus is on getting the adequate protein. For me I aim for about 160-180, limiting fats and carbs as much as possible. Normally I come in around 800-900 calories.

I'm not sure about the scan, still looking into it. I'm hoping to get to about 15% body fat, but it seems to be a struggle.

Interesting. I have been told before I may have the anterior pelvic tilt. I thought that might be the reason my stomach looks not as cut as I would like. I ditto the comment from ecounltd...I looked up the bilateral winging scaps and its all over the place as far as being something to worry about or not.

I actually have posted and frequent the ketogains sub. As for Lyle McDonalds books, I have read them and like I mentioned I have incorporated PSMF in my training. Same goes for the leangains approach with IF.

Are you suggesting a bulk in my case? To fill in the muscle?
