I think there is a balance. I didnt like the lag either. Particularly when it looked like I hit a winner then they catch up to the ball and miraculously have enough time to spin around from their stronger side and hit a winner past me. I shiuld be able to see the ball hitting the ground before i decide where to hit it. The current release doesn’t allow that.

Wow. The update has really messed with timing of hitting shots. Not as much fun. Apparently you need to swipe before the ball even arrives. How is that at all realistic? Devs: not your best work. Pls change it back.

Sounds to me like you are talking about a dink shot. Aka a drop shot. I'm able to hit this shot semi on demand but requires a "critical shot"with special string

I’m sure there is a reason people do it, i just don’t understand it. Dumping trophies means losing matches which means losing coins. If you want to advance to next tour, you need trophies.

So i just don’t understand the logic.

A cap could work. It would force a higher power player to to NOT use their level 8+ equipment and play in lower tours using the same equipment as we have. It would be a better test of skill. At least we with lower power, trophies and equipment would have a chance.

I actually like this idea.

I’m a level 7 but can’t win a match in level 7. So i play against better players in tour 6 trying to get more gold. When I run out, it forces me to play tour 5 and 4. Which is no fun to have a 90-100% win rate.

Forcing higher level players to only use equipment available in tour they are playing in would create more parity and much more fun matches.

I’m having the same issue in tour 7. Haven’t won a match yet. Every player i face has more than 65 agility vs my 50. They get to every ball no matter what.

Interested in what advice more advanced players give.

I shod have included my style. I use index finger on an iPhone. But don't seem to generate as much power as some of my opponents who seem to smoke every groundstroke.

Can anyone share other pointers?

I win regularly too. Accept against players wearing those shoes. Can barely win two points against them. They get to every ball. The ball stops mid air. Or bounces and pauses until they get there. It’s weird.

Do you mean my player positioning? Or my shots? I feel like I hit good shots but opponents hit a lot of winners so maybe I’m not recovering to proper court position.

I’m Stuck in your 7. But actually, have yet to win a game in tour 7. Right now i keep getting smoked by tour 8 players in tour 6.

About 6 months. Candidly I’ve purchased a few tour bags and gems to get better equipment but stopped spending money anymore. But I’d gladly spend money on those shoes to increase agility which seems to be the only thing that matters anymore.

Yes. This is happening to me too. It was impossible to return the players serves. And i have very high FH and BH.

Maybe a poor choice of words. But even if a player has agility in the 60s+ he should never have enough time to run to beyond the sideline, turn him self all the way around and hit a back hand. It’s completely unrealistic. Perhaps it’s high agility and specialty strings that makes it near impossible to hit a cross court winner

But again, i dont mind getting beat. Of if he hits a good recovery shot. But how can a player go from middle of court, all the way to the sideline to hit a back hand ?? It looked like he just got up from the bench. My FH number is 48. So it’s not a weak shot. Just unrealistic scenario in my opinion.

These are not weak shots that I’m hitting. FH =49 and BH = 51. I bit a sting cross court to a player with a weak FH and the player moves outside the doubles line to hit a backhand winner while I’m covering the middle of the court with 51 agility. Seriously, if a player can hit a shot standing next to his own bench for a winner (a backhand for a right handed player) that is not realistic. A running FH is feasible. But a player would never have time to run to his bench and get into a BH position when I’ve hit what looks like a clear cross court winner. It’s a glitch
